🗣 Clare is a highly experienced early childhood speech pathologist with expertise in Autism Spectrum Disorder, early interaction and communication and supporting children and families with language strategies to support challenging behaviours.

🗣 Clare has been working with young children and families for more than 20 years.

🗣Clare is passionate about inclusion and can support Educators and teachers in their work with children with communication difficulties and challenging behaviours.

🗣Clare is a Hanen certified speech pathologist and works from a family centred and relational practice approach.

Meet Pia:

🌻Positive Behaviour Practitioner🌻

👩‍🏫Pia began her career as a primary school teacher and spent many years working in classrooms across the UK, Perth and Melbourne.

🤲She worked in varied socio-economic areas and has experience working with children with complex needs such as ADHD, autism, physical disabilities and challenging behaviours.

👏Pia then completed her Master of Counselling and spent the last 4 years working at various Supported Independent Living (SIL) sites.

🌸She has experience working with a vast range of mental illnesses taking a person-centered approach.

MEET MAX:
Our senior occupational therapist.

Max is a passionate and friendly individual who enjoys working in fast paced environments.

Having previously worked within the NDIS space as a clinical team lead. During his time as an Occupational Therapist, he has undertaken roles that focus on person-centered service, supervision, management, business development as well as physical health and wellness. Max has a passion for improving lives of people living with disability through environmental (home) modification, equipment prescription and supporting housing and living arrangements.

In his spare time, Max enjoys spending time with his fiancé and dog, staying fit and healthy, and going snowboarding when he can. 🐕‍🦺 🏂

Max is certified in access design and consulting having attained CPPACC4020 and CPPACC5016 credentials. Max is also equipped with advanced training in musculoskeletal assessment and treatment having completed Level 1 and 2 Soft Tissue courses alongside Upper Limb Dry Needling course.

Over the last few years, Charlie has worked closely with NDIS participants, enabling social and community participation, safe and adequate access to be able to participate in meaningful activities and live a fulfilled life. 🏆

Charlie graduated as a Physiotherapist in the UK in 2014, and has spent the past 9 years working in acute hospitals, sport, and occupational workplace, prior to his experience working in the NDIS. 🏣

In his free time Charlie enjoys running, playing tennis, golf, and exploring new areas and cuisines. 🏌🏸🌯

What is a Home Modification Assessment? 🏡🚿🚽

A Home Mods assessment is a custom-built change within a participant home. This is performed by an occupational therapist. The cost for this assessment can be included in your plan under Capacity Building. This can range from a minor to complex modification.

For one to receive this assessment they must have a concern of safety, trouble with personal care, or difficulty moving around within their home.

Examples include:
🏡Modifications to bathrooms, toilet, or kitchen.
🏡 Hand or grab rails
🏡 Ramps for wheelchair use
🏡 Doorway widening
🏡 shower hob reductions.

Assistive technology is equipment, items, or product systems prescribed by an occupational therapist. This technology may help you do something more easily or safely. The purpose of assistive technology is to improve one's independence & functioning.
