💙 Happy Father’s Day 💙

Today at Mandurah Community Aged Care, we honour the fathers, grandfathers, and father figures who have helped build the families and communities we cherish today.

At The Vue Community Aged Care, another one of our For Purpose Aged Care homes, we witnessed some truly special moments — fathers and sons sharing stories, smiles, and memories. It was a beautiful reminder of the deep bonds that connect generations and the lasting impact of a father's love.

From all of us at Mandurah and across For Purpose Aged Care, thank you to every father for your guidance, strength, and unwavering care. Today, we celebrate you.

At For Purpose Aged Care, we know that regular exercise is a vital part of healthy ageing and our residents are loving our activity programs. We offer a wide variety of daily exercise.

Options like chair yoga, Zumba, physio led exercises, seated soccer, balloon tennis and strength classes. Residents particularly enjoy morning walking group, whether it’s sunny or a crisp winter morning in VIC/NSW,
our residents love starting their day with fresh air, movement, and great company.

Things are about to get really interesting at MCAC with the arrival of our new VR kit from SilVR Adventures. Residents can now travel anywhere in the world at the click of a button.

The wellbeing team are calling out for donations of the following to help create some fun activities for our residents:
- Large piece jigsaws
- Boardgames
- Baby clothes
- Life like dolls
- Craft supplies
- Sensory items
- Vases
- Old fashioned cookbooks
- Retro kitchen items
- High tea cups and saucers
- Socks and hankies for sorting

Today we welcomed our very first residents! Thankyou Valerie Troskot with Mayor Caroline Knight for cutting the ribbon and officially opening Mandurah Community Aged Care.
