Sometimes it doesn't take much to make the day sparkle.

I came across this amazing piece in the NSW Art Gallery. It is molded to perfection! Nature in any of its phases can inspire art, or thought, or feeling, or awe.

Getting closer to nature keeps me more in tune with both the time-less, and the time-bound - particularly the non-negotiable limitation of my personal timeline.
The first opens me to awe.
The second to gratitude.
Let's do a nature therapy walk together, soon.

Science shows nature connection - developed by simply spending time with nature - reduces anxiety and depression. Look and smell and hear and feel the natural world around you today, and absorb a good dose of natural anti-depressant.

Love, love, love scribbly gums. To find one I could almost nap in was a treat. Just like reading in bed - with all the stories told in that cryptic script!

Spring has sprung all over the Aussie bush near my place - such beautiful, if tiny, flowers are popping everywhere. Aussie wildflowers are the perfect reminder of how exquisite the smallest things can be. Take some time to wander out and pay attention to the smallest of the things you see. Or join me for a nature therapy walk and we'll do it together! https://www.naturetherapywalks.com.au/events-1

People have lots of ideas about what a nature therapy walk is - but it's only when you experience it that you'll find the treasures it offers you.

Everyone finds something unexpected, even in places they've been many times before.

Stress, the word itself, has many meanings. But in our world, its definition has shrunk almost entirely to this one: "damaging hyperstimulation." And damaging hyperstimulation is changing the shape of our bodies, our lifestyles, our economic choices, our thoughts - our whole lives are bent out of shape by stress.

The simplest solution is more time in nature. Quiet time under the trees literally reduces your physical stress by lowering blood pressure, reducing inflamation and boosting your immunity so the body is better able to fight off the nasty, health-reducing effects of toxic stress. Science can prove it with data. But why don't you prove it for yourself?

Join me for a nature therapy walk and we'll explore some fun and creative approaches to melting away stress in the very best place to do it: nature. https://www.naturetherapywalks.com.au/

Practical Experiment on the Current Research into Creativity in Nature!
“The current research indicates that there is a real, measurable cognitive advantage to be realized if we spend time truly immersed in a natural setting.” David Strayer, University of Utah, from his paper 'Creativity in the Wild: Improved Creative Reasoning through Immersion in Natural Settings.' I'm not sure about "creative reasoning" - but it was a whole lot of fun! Thanks, kids.
