A few of the things I’ve been turning to during this special postpartum period that have kept me feeling nourished, balanced, and supported in recovery.
This has honestly been the best postpartum I’ve experienced — in energy, recovery, and feeling truly replenished after birth and pregnancy.
1. Mineral salts — supporting everything from after pains to milk supply and strengthening the uterus, even helping bub’s digestion along the way.
2. Nourishing Newborn Mothers by Julia Jones — this book is something special. Filled with warming, easy-to-digest recipes, it’s been my go-to (well… hubby’s!) to make sure I’m well fed in these early days.
3. Essential Replenishment — all the goodness: tallow to prevent dry skin, magnesium, electrolytes, and trace minerals to deeply nourish and restore the body through recovery.
4. Foraged For You Mother’s Blend — your body’s natural multivitamin. Packed with bioavailable nutrients the body recognises and absorbs with ease. Forget synthetic options like Elevit — this truly replenishes from within.
5. BlockBlueLight red light — an absolute saviour for nighttime feeds and reading without disturbing bub. Helps me fall back asleep faster, and being portable makes it so handy!
6. The First Forty Days by Heng Ou — a beautiful guide for honouring this sacred postpartum window. I love its philosophy, though I find the recipes in Nourishing Newborn Mothers a little more my style.
Save this for your postpartum journey or send it to a new mama ✨
