National Reconciliation Week starts today (27 June) and runs until 3 June. These dates commemorate two significant milestones in the reconciliation journey – the successful 1967 referendum, and the High Court Mabo decision respectively.

The theme for this year is All In, a call for all Australians to commit wholeheartedly to reconciliation every single day.

We all have a role to play when it comes to reconciliation, and in playing our part we collectively build relationships and communities that value Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, histories, cultures, and futures. Reconciliation Australia

Polyendocrine medabolic ovarian syndrome (PMOS) is the new name for Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS).
The new naming understands that it is a complex, long-term hormonal or endocrine disorder.
It increases the potential for early interventions for other chronic diseases such as higher instance of insulin resistance and late-onset diabetes.
If you think you might be impacted, please reach out to your doctor to have a conversation.
To find out more information about PMOS, you can visit the Women’s Health Information Hub via the link in our bio.

This Heart Week is a reminder to slow down, check in with yourself, and take steps to reduce your heart disease risk. Book a heart health check, know your numbers, and stay informed about what’s happening inside your body. When you understand your health, you’re in a better position to look after it.

Movement doesn’t have to be intense, just consistent. A short walk, stretching, or simply getting up more often all adds up over time.

The same goes for what you eat: focus on balance, add more whole foods, and aim to nourish your body rather than restrict it.

And don’t forget something that is often overlooked, stress. Taking a few minutes to pause, breathe, and reset can make a real difference.

Start looking after your heart this Heart Week.

It was wonderful to join Motherland for their national conference in mid March. Motherland is a national charity improving the mental health of rural mothers by reducing isolation and increasing access to support.

Our team connected with so many incredible women and mothers , and heard a huge diversity of voices and experiences from regional and rural women. It was a joy to share our 1800 4 WOMEN service with those who need it most.
