NO FRIDAY NIGHT SOCIAL THIS WEEK

Just a heads up there will be no Friday night social this week as Maddie and I are heading away to celebrate our first wedding anniversary 🎉

This only affects the Friday night social — all other sessions will run as normal, including indoor cricket with the crew 🏏

23 today… honestly, how you’ve made it this far is one of life’s great mysteries 😂

All jokes aside, thanks for being such a big part of My Mates Place—even if you do drive us all slightly insane from time to time. Keeps things interesting, I suppose!

It’s been awesome watching how far you’ve come over the past 12 months. Keep pushing forward, keep doing your thing… and most importantly, keep us all entertained.

What a day for the My Mates Place archery team at the John Burton Memorial Tournament at Kidman Archery Club 🏹

We had 6 of our shooters take part, and to come away with a clean sweep of the podium is something pretty special.

1st place went to Ed Pikusa
2nd place to Roman Pikusa-Bishop
3rd place to Chris Thompson

An incredible effort from all three and a fantastic result for the team.

A big shoutout as well to Tyler and David Wilson, who both shot really well and represented the team with pride.

Huge congratulations to Chris Thompson on an incredible achievement today! 🏹

Chris has taken 3rd place at the John Burton Memorial Tournament hosted by Kidman Archers, and even more special, this is his first archery medal 🥉

Such a great result and a real reflection of the hard work, focus and determination he’s been putting in. This is only the beginning and I’m excited to see where his archery journey goes from here.

Well done Chris, proud of you 👏

Another cracking Friday night socials in the books! 🙌

Our legends at My Mates Place once again proved that there’s nothing better than getting together with good mates, sharing a few laughs, enjoying some great food, and pretending we all know how to play pool 🎱😄

Ebony and Mia headed out to Urimbirra Wildlife Park near Victor Harbor yesterday—and what a day they had!

We’ve been taking quite a few participants there lately, and it just keeps delivering. Super-friendly kangaroos, up-close moments with koalas, and even the chance to hold a snake (not for the faint-hearted 😄).

There’s so much to explore—beautiful enclosures, incredible birdlife, and some special animals you don’t see every day like quokkas and dingoes.

Absolutely loving these photos—great work, Mia and Ebony! 📸👏

Massive congratulations to Chris Thompson for taking on and nailing a very challenging task that most archers never even try:
Completing a compound bow string successfully from beginning to end.

This is an incredibly in depth technical process and this clip represents 3 hours of hard, focused work. And just take a look at what a beauty it is!

For reference a bowstring like this would normally cost around $100 to buy and have fitted for you

We absolutely love our time at Hannah’s Horse Riding 🐎

There’s so much more to do and see than you’d imagine — from wandering down to feed the goats 🐐 to helping bathe the horses (which is always a favourite!). It’s not just an activity, it’s a full experience.

And of course, we never say no to a few refreshments afterwards ☕️

Thank you for always making our visits so special, and for including Daisy — it truly means a lot 💛

I know I did after a nice little break 😄 Now I’m feeling refreshed and very keen to get back into everything! 💪
