Community Day pet health check bookings are for new clients registering for our program. Our services provide initial support to people and pets, and we are not able to provide ongoing or emergency veterinary support. If you are a previous or current client and require additional support, please email our team at community-outreach@rspcaqld.org.au.
A ticket must be booked for each individual animal to allow adequate time for health checks; tickets are limited to 2 pet bookings per person. If you have additional animals please email community-outreach@rspcaqld.org.au or talk with one of our friendly staff on the day to enquire about future community days. This is a pet-friendly day. Please ensure your pet/s are safe by securing them on a lead or in a carrier. NB: If you do not have access to a carrier or lead, please see staff on arrival for assistance.
We ask all individuals attending our community day make proactive and informed choices towards both yours and your pets' welfare. Please keep in mind extreme temperatures are common at this time of the year. Due to ongoing weather concerns, please be advised of the following:
Consider booking an earlier time slot if your pet's breed is more susceptible to heat distress.
If you are walking to the Community Day, conduct a three second heat test by placing the back of your hand on the pavement. If it's too hot for you, it's too hot for your dog.
Please do not leave your pet/s in the car. If you require assistance, please call your Community Liaison Officer to alert them of your arrival.
Community Days are held from 9:00am until 2:30pm. The weather during these times may fluctuate, so please stay mindful of any changes that may occur.
โ Please arrive no more that 10 minutes before your appointment time to minimise the duration you and your pets are in the heat.
