🌟 The Importance of Podiatry Care for Neurodiverse Clients 🌟

At on the road podiatry - In Home Service, we understand that every person is unique, and this is especially true for neurodiverse individuals. For those living with conditions like autism, ADHD, and other learning disabilities, managing foot health can sometimes be overlooked—but it is absolutely essential for their overall well-being! 🦶💙

Why is podiatry important for neurodiverse clients?

🔹 Mobility & Independence Proper foot care improves balance, gait, and overall mobility, helping individuals stay active and independent.
🔹 Footwear & Comfort: Neurodiverse clients may struggle with sensory issues, making it hard to wear supportive footwear. As podiatrists, we offer guidance to find shoes that feel comfortable and provide the necessary support for healthy feet.
🔹 Preventing Injuries: Issues like poor coordination or lack of awareness can increase the risk of falls, injuries, or untreated foot conditions. Regular podiatry check-ups can help prevent serious complications.
🔹 Tailored Care: We understand the specific needs of neurodiverse individuals, from sensory sensitivities to unique communication styles, and adjust our care approach to ensure the experience is comfortable and stress-free.

👣 Whether it’s helping with proper footwear, treating foot pain, or managing ongoing conditions, podiatry plays a vital role in improving quality of life for neurodiverse clients. If you or someone you know could benefit from specialised podiatry care, reach out to us today!

On The Road Podiatry was at Lameroo offering Podiatry services to the locals.

I stopped and had the best coffee with Sarah Chapman, the owner of Lameroo Country Kitchen Yummy food, lots of food, great service, I can't wait to be back in 6 weeks time! ☕👣

Country health needs more allied health services. I hope On The Road Podiatry can make a difference and bring other services into the town.

💡Multiple sclerosis (MS) & Podiatry 👣👣

Multiple sclerosis (MS) is a neurological condition that can affect various parts of the body, including the feet. Foot pain and problems with mobility are common in people with MS.

Podiatrists can play a valuable role in managing foot-related issues for individuals with MS. They can provide services such as assessing foot function, recommending appropriate footwear, addressing gait abnormalities, and offering treatments for specific foot conditions.

If you or someone you know has MS and is experiencing foot pain or mobility issues, consulting a podiatrist can be beneficial in managing and improving foot health.

Manual therapy techniques, such as massage and physical manipulation, can be beneficial for some people with multiple sclerosis (MS), particularly if they experience muscle stiffness, spasticity, or pain in their feet.

Manual therapy may help improve circulation, reduce muscle tension, and enhance overall comfort.
