July is Disability Pride Month, and we’ve loved seeing the incredible work of advocacy groups driving awareness, inclusion, and action for people living with disability.

Recently, the Disability Pride Flag was raised in Melbourne for the very first time, a powerful symbol of visibility and belonging.

Organised by DRC Advocacy and partners, the event championed visibility, challenged ableism, and honoured disability as a culture and force.

The NDIA has released its first summary report evaluating recent NDIS reforms, including the new ‘in’ and ‘out’ support lists and changes to plan funding periods.
🔍 Key Findings:
• Confusion around support lists
• Need for clearer guidance
• Implementation challenges
The NDIA is still working on policies to determine which therapies are supported and funded. They also recognised that the changes have been more complex to implement than expected.

It was a great opportunity to discuss how our services complement each other and how we can continue to make a positive impact in the community.
