Things nobody tells you about losing weight on night shift:
Your cortisol is backwards. It stores fat instead of burning it.
Your hunger hormones lie to you at 3am.
Your body thinks breakfast is bedtime.
You’re too exhausted to meal prep.
And everyone around you is eating normally while your whole system is running in reverse.
I’m a nurse working over 20 yrs on nights. High blood pressure. One kidney. Obesity diagnosis.

Nobody talks about this enough — the friendships you make on nights are different. You’ve laughed together at 3am, held each other together at 4am, and danced in gloves at 5am.
Social connection on night shift is actually a documented protective health factor. We just do it with more gloves than most. Love u Sue ❤️

My biggest sleep killer was ...scrolling before sleep and sunlight.
It's a melatonin killer. Put phone on silent. Sunlight leak = 2
hrs less sleep. Mask on I'm getting 90 mins deeper sleep.😴
