✨💕2024: Part 1 - Melbourne > LA > Miami > NYC > London > Berlin > Hamberg > Copenhagen✨💕
As 2024 crossed over, we had just packed up our 3-bedroom home of 2 years and moved into a shared house with friends. We lived there for just over 3 months before we left the country.
These three months were filled to the brim with plans, hangouts, nature, and a lot of work. There were a lot of tears, a lot of hugs, and a lot of fun times. This period felt so potent with emotional intensity as we said goodbye to all we knew and waited with anticipation of what lay ahead.
Finally, the day came after too many hard goodbyes, and we were in accidentally matching outfits when we boarded the plane.
LA was so good, maybe because it was our first stop. Miami was even better; it was the only part of my trip I could comprehend before leaving. NYC allowed us to dream big and have fun with old and new friends.
Then Europe. Fatigue had started to set in, and the realities of travelling with a chronic illness and food allergies. Fear of the unknown started to emerge, and we started to feel far from our old lives but still far from living our new ones. But going to new places, learning about and experiencing life there will never get old. Its such a privilege to travel and I will never forget that.
I feel like I lived a thousand lives on that trip, meeting a new version of myself in each city. Some days, we would spend hours journalling just to feel like we could see another new thing. There is so much processing power to make sense of what you are experiencing.
I will cherish the memories forever, and looking through these photos makes me smile.
