Last nights look 💄
It only took about a week but I’m slowly feeling more balanced.
However one thing I’ve noticed is my sleep hygiene and energy being massively affected.
So I was conscious that I needed more time to “get ready” for my event I was going to.
It started early and as follows:
- Woke up, walked, got sunshine, socialised & carried my groceries home as my weight training. I could have easily driven or taken PT but I purposely didn’t.
- Whilst I was walking I had my hot chocolate and did not rush. I gave myself 30 minutes to stroll even though I knew at my normal pace it would have taken me 11 minutes or less (but who’s counting). I consciously was trying to avoid cortisol spikes.
- Once getting home, I had my juice and sat outside for a bit more vitamin D, before having an hour “nap” - can’t confirm whether I actually slept but I did put my phone on airplane mode snuggled under my sheets and weighted blanket and shut my eyes for an hour.
- Then I went on the rebounder for 10 minutes and also did some tapping - 30 cupped taps under my armpits and in the other areas for lymphatic drainage.
- next, foam roller and stretches.
- Followed by Matcha tea, two spoons under eyes which were in the freezer to help with my bags and dark circles.
- Ironed my dresses (had a backup in case my bloating didn’t subside) and then hopped in the shower.
- After the shower I used my vitamin E oil and massaged it in my face before going in with my rose quartz roller and gua sha - targeting face, neck, chest
- I massaged magnesium cream into the soles of my feet and calves because I knew I’d be in my boots all night long.
- swilled / pulled coconut oil to make sure my matcha didn’t stain my teeth, followed by my own home made electrolytes - Celtic salt, lemon and room temp pre boiled water. Which I sipped as I finally commenced my makeup.
- by then the redness from my face massaging has subsided and I was ready to go!
All done and ready to boogie! Can confirm you CAN have fun without alcohol! I did it with soda water and fresh lime 😉
Tell me in the comments what your go to rituals are!
