💭 Ever wondered how Virtual Reality could help with your prosthesis journey?🚀

Through our innovative virtual reality (VR) program, we offer the support, guidance and tools needed to navigate each phase of your limb loss journey with confidence. Whether you're just beginning to consider your options or are already adjusting to life with a prosthesis, we can help 🦾. Read on to see how we can help with your journey:

1️⃣ Understanding your goals and needs:
The journey begins with identifying your personal goals, whether that’s driving your car, cooking for your family or getting back to your favourite hobby, and discussing how your prosthesis will help you achieve this with your prosthetist.

2️⃣ Experience using a prosthesis with VR:
Enter our VR world to explore and understand the movements, sensations and control of a prosthesis before using one in real life.

3️⃣ Finding the perfect fit:
With your goals and preferences in mind, your prosthetist will guide you through different prosthesis options. Together, you'll determine the prosthesis that best aligns with your needs.

4️⃣ Pre-prosthetic training:
During this phase, our prosthetic VR simulations allow you to refine the activities and movements you'll use in everyday life, equipping you with the necessary skills to achieve your goals when you obtain your prosthesis.

5️⃣ Trial prosthesis:
During this phase, you’ll experience firsthand what an actual prosthesis feels like. Thanks to your prior VR experience, you’ll have a headstart on your prosthetic training (1).

6️⃣ Receiving your prosthesis:
Your new prosthesis is here, bringing you one step closer to achieving your goals. Now it’s time to embrace this new chapter.

At Virtetic, we understand that achieving your goals following amputation can be tough, but it doesn’t have to feel that way 🤝.

With our immersive VR interventions, we equip you with physical and mental training, empowering you to take control of your journey. Here’s how it works 👇

❓How can VR rehabilitation support my transition to an actual prosthesis?
👉When you enter our immersive VR world, you’ll experience firsthand what a prosthesis feels like, exploring the movements, sensations and physical adjustments long before you wear one. This will help you understand how your body interacts with a prosthesis, building confidence and preparing you for the transition in a fun and engaging environment.

❓How can VR support my mental well-being?
👉At Virtetic, we recognise that the road to achieving your goals following amputation is not just physical, it can be deeply emotional too. However, seeing your virtual prosthesis in action allows you to visualise your progress, serving as a motivation and reminder that your goals are within reach.

❓How does VR allow me to practise prosthetic control?
👉Our VR technology allows you to practise and refine your prosthetic control skills through repetition and functional training. By simulating real-world scenarios, you can improve your coordination and mobility while practising the specific skills and movements used in everyday life.
