A special thank you to Mentone News for welcoming us to the community!

We’re excited to share that our new site in Mentone has been a great success. We’ve built a fantastic team of receptionists, radiographers, and radiologists who are working together seamlessly to provide the best possible care.

With a full range of services including XR, CT, Ultrasound, OPG, and BMD, we’re thrilled to offer these comprehensive diagnostic services to the community.

We are pleased to announce the opening of Vision Radiology Mentone!

This clinic features the latest imaging technology in X-ray, ultrasound, CT, dental imaging, and bone densitometry, providing comprehensive diagnostic services to meet the needs of the community. In keeping with our commitment to high-quality care, our Mentone clinic is staffed with experts ready to deliver a seamless experience from referral to results.

To facilitate accessible and affordable care, bulk billing is available for Medicare-eligible examinations.

Located at 45-47 Balcombe Road, Mentone, we are open Monday to Friday from 8:30am to 5:00pm and Saturday from 9:00am to 1:00pm.

A CT calcium score measures the amount of calcium in your coronary arteries, helping to identify plaque build up that can lead to coronary artery disease. This quick, non-invasive test assesses your risk of heart attack or stroke over the next 5 to 10 years, even if you have no symptoms.

The scan involves placing electrodes on your chest to monitor your heart’s activity. It is synchronised with your heartbeat and requires brief breath-holding. No injections or drinks are needed, and the entire process takes only a few minutes.

Doctors use this test to detect potential cardiovascular issues early and recommend preventative measures if necessary. On the day of the scan, you should avoid caffeine and smoking, but no other preparation is required. The results provide valuable insights into your heart health and can guide future care or follow-up scans.

As we approach the end of the year, all of us at Vision Radiology would like to wish you a joyful festive season and a happy New Year.

Our clinics will be operating with modified trading hours over this period. Please note that all metropolitan and regional clinics will follow the same hours, except for our Sebastopol clinic, which will also be closed on Friday, 27th December.

We recently had the pleasure of attending the General Practice Conference & Exhibition (GPCE) in Melbourne. It was an excellent opportunity to engage with GPs, practice managers, and other healthcare professionals to discuss how our advanced medical imaging solutions can support improved patient care and outcomes.

Introducing Dr Megan Ang!

Megan graduated from The University of Adelaide, where she was awarded the Keith Sheridan Prize for the highest overall performance in her final year of medical school.

After completing her radiology training at The Alfred Hospital, Megan undertook subspecialty fellowships in neuroradiology/head & neck imaging at The Alfred Hospital and obstetrics and gynaecology imaging at Mercy Hospital for Women. She continues to hold consultant appointments at both institutions.

Megan has a broad interest in diagnostic and interventional radiology and plays an active role in the education of radiology trainees.
