When we’re not with clients at the studio we are researching our clients cases to come up with the most suitable, & individualised, treatment plan.
A treatment plan will include food-intake guidance & recipes, as well as education on why & how certain foods & nutrients will support the body. Education is an important part of what we do, as it includes the client in the process & encourages the client to feel empowered over their health.

We may also include handouts on things you can do for yourself at home; such as a eucalyptus/tea-tree inhalation to clear blocked nasal passages & improve breathing, as well as reducing symptoms associated with colds & bacterial infections.

Everything is personalised & made to suit the individual, in our client-centred approach. We all know, & have likely experienced, that one size does not fit all.

Remedies, supplements & herbal medicines are also explored & prescribed when suitable. These are all practitioner-only products, which are MUCH better quality than over the counter supplements.

Winter essentials πŸŠπŸ‹ now is the time to up your intake of vitamin C & antioxidant rich foods & support your immune system to protect you from the pathogens we are faced with daily.

Our vitamin C & antioxidant rich foods include dark leafy green, pigmented colourful fruit & veg, kiwi fruits, fresh berries & citrus.

Vitamin D is also an immune system regulator, making it a very important component this winter. Due to reduced sunlight & ability to spend time in the sunshine, supplementation can be very beneficial during the cold season.
BioCeuticals have just come out with a vegan vitamin D spray, which is very exciting!

Selenium, zinc, iron, EFA’s, probiotics & more are also crucial for a healthy immune system. (As always, do not self-prescribe. Particular nutrients & vitamins may not be suited to an individual due to their health conditions, medications, existing supplementation, stage of life etc.)

The only new furniture in the studio are our couches (for hygienic purposes, & bc it takes a lot of time to find the perfect 2nd hand couch!)

Sharing post on sleep as it is SUCH an important element of our health.

How to support a restful, deep sleep πŸ’€ in a completely simplified manner
~ exercise during the day
~ include a source of protein with dinner (tempeh, tofu, beans, whole grains)
~ create a pre-sleep ritual; candle, essential oils, aromatherapy, face massage after skin care, foot bath
~ turn off phone 1 hour prior to bed
~ aim to get to bed at the same time each night
~ magnesium support
~ have a herbal cuppa 1 hour before bed; with herbs such as chamomile, passionflower, lavender, valerian { add in some ginger & cinnamon as a digestive carminative which will soothe your belly }
~ deep breathing for 5-10minutes as you hop into bed
~ fresh sheets & a tidy, clutter free sleeping space

I really can’t highlight enough how important it is to prioritise your sleep.
If you experience poor sleep or insomnia, seek professional help, as sleep is so incredibly important for your metabolism, healing processes, neuro-support, detoxification & for your overall health. The impacts of disturbed sleep may not affect you now, however it can become a huge concern in the future if left unaddressed.
