Unified Home Care is looking to hire Disability Support Workers in the Northern Suburbs of Melbourne.

This is currently a casual position however other opportunities will arise in the future.

Summary:

We are looking for an experienced and knowledgeable Disability Support Worker to join our team to support our clients to maintain their independence, support them to build their capacity and achieve their goals.

This role will provide the following services: personal care, assistance with household tasks, support in pursuing interests and hobbies, transport, community access, meal preparation, support with transitioning into independent living, supported independent living, emotional support, and communication support.

About you:

* Must be female (the client’s preference).
* You have previous NDIS/similar experience.
* You are passionate about making a difference and providing quality disability support.
* You are professional, reliable, confident and can manage your work autonomously.
* You are fluent in English, and you have very strong communication skills.
* Knowledge of safe work practices.
Requirements:
* Hold a valid Australian driver’s License.
* Own a reliable, roadworthy, and insured vehicle suitable to transport clients.
* Current First Aid and CPR Certificate.
* Working with Children’s Check.
* NDIS Worker Screening Check.
* National Police Check.
* Completed NDIS Quality and Safeguards Online Worker Training.
* Available to work 5 days week (excluding weekends).
