Massage therapy amongst other complementary healing modalities can be beneficial for everybody, including those with Autoimmune Disorders and Inflammatory conditions. Some of these conditions may also affect the skin as I have personally experienced myself. One can become hesitant to book a simple massage as there can be psychological as well as physiological implications to suffering with an autoimmune condition.
Now, I haven't seen it all in my years as a Spa Therapist - but I have seen plenty !!
Over the years I have seen and done various treatments on many women, all different shapes and sizes, with body image concerns, cellulite, stretchmarks, compromised skin elasticity, post surgical scarring, burns, birthmarks, dermatitis, psoriasis etc.
I am here to tell you - There is no need to be embarrassed , you will recieve no judgement from me for I too have plenty of perfectly imperfect imperfections π
