Dr Anastasiya Suetin is a Clinical Psychologist with over 15 years of experience working with children, adolescents and adults in clinical, educational and private settings. Anastasiya has graduated from The University of Melbourne with a Masters and PhD degree in Clinical Psychology (Child and Adolescent specialisation). She is fully registered with the Psychology Board of Australia — AHPRA (Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency) and is endorsed as a Clinical Psychologist. Anastasiya is also a Board-approved Supervisor and a member of the Australian Psychological Society (MAPS).
When working with individuals of various age groups, Anastasiya is passionate about understanding their unique identity and the subjective experiences that shape their thoughts, emotions and behaviour. This approach allows Anastasiya to tailor her interactions and interventions to better meet the specific needs and challenges of each individual.
With a particular interest in neurodiversity, Anastasiya is committed to understanding and appreciating the diverse ways people think and experience the world. Having extensive experience in the area of diagnostic assessments for both children and adults, Anastasiya integrates her wealth of knowledge, experience and a compassionate approach, appreciating the distinct experiences of every family.
In therapy, Anastasiya relies on current evidence-based practice incorporating a variety of therapeutic elements based on Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Social Thinking methodology.
Anastasiya offers face-to-face and Telehealth (videoconference) consultations. As a mother of five children, Anastasiya’s personal experiences enable her to empathise with the challenges and joys that come with raising a family. She is dedicated to offering her guidance and support to individuals and families as they navigate their distinctive life paths.
