We are delighted to share that we have reached an in-principle agreement with the Australian Health Service Alliance (AHSA) that ensures its members continue to be covered when attending one of our hospitals.

This agreement means AHSA fund members will not need to pay any additional fees.

We're pleased to announce that today we have confirmed a new two year in-principle funding agreement with Bupa.

The agreement will ensure that Bupa patients can continue to receive care and treatment at our hospitals across the country without any additional out of pocket charges.

This agreement will give certainty to our staff, doctors and Bupa customers.

We're looking forward to continuing our partnership with Bupa, working together to deliver outstanding patient care and collaborating on initiatives to support the long term sustainability of our sector.

Healthscope now has new agreements with four of Australia’s five major insurance groups – Bupa, Medibank, NIB, HCF. Our notice of contract termination with the Australian Health Service Alliance (AHSA) funds remains in place, effective from 4 March 2025.

We are thrilled to announce that our hospital's Mental Health expansion has reached another wonderful milestone.

Earlier this year, the new Adult Mental Health Unit and purpose-built Older Persons’ Unit opened, helping to meet the high demands of the community and provide better access to mental health services for the northern suburbs of Melbourne.

This week, a new, spacious and light-filled dining room with additional private family rooms alongside a specially designed outdoor area was completed, offering exceptional areas for our patients.

Suzy McLean, GM said “ the team are delighted to be able to share these highly valuable new areas with their patients and doctors. The response has been overwhelmingly positive and all clinicians are thrilled to have such wonderful spaces to continue to deliver the dedicated care they provide each and every day.”

Look out for the final stage of our expansion, when the completion of these outstanding Mental Health facilities will be realised in the coming months.

Our new Older Person’s Unit is for people who have or who develop, a mental illness later in life.

Designed to meet the needs of people aged 65 years and over, the program carefully considers the interactions between the psychological, physiological and social effects of the ageing process.

The unit is staffed by psychiatrists and nurses that are experienced in the delivery of care to older persons, providing a sensitive and caring environment for our patients.
