Why you must stop comparing yourself to others, get fitter and embrace your body‼️👀⤵️

A lot has been said about "embracing your body" in the online world 🤔 When you were younger, no one ever told you to embrace your b***y or love your thighs, or gave you advice on how to be more comfortable with the rolls on your stomach when you sat down.

And yet, these are some of the things women need to hear most—not just because they're embracing their bodies, but because they are being kinder to themselves🤍

It's easy to fall into the trap of comparing yourself to other people. I mean, it happens all the time—in person and online. But if you want to be more kind and accepting of yourself (which will take you a lot further than giving up carbs or hating your thighs ever will), then stop doing it immediately 🚫 The same goes for putting down other people—whether they're a celebrity you don't like, or an acquaintance who has something you'd like.

Every time you look at someone and compare yourself to them, you neglect the amazing things about yourself. In asking "why am I not as pretty/ successful/ talented as her?" you're ignoring your own beauty, success, and skills. And then you're just left feeling awful.

👉I'll always recommend you start embracing your body by learning to care for your body through health and fitness. You'll soon learn how to love yourself and others unconditionally, and it starts with not comparing your own growth to anyone else but your own 💪

The internet already has enough hate in it. We need you on board for self-love 😉

Is your lack of self-confidence causing you to miss out on living your best life❓😞⤵️

When you stop being driven to live life to the fullest, you start to settle for mediocrity. It's as if you've been given a greatest hits album with only one song.

The rest of the album is filled with a bunch of boring filler tracks. You don't want to listen to that album because you've heard it before and it's nothing new 😕

You sit there, hoping someone will put a greatest hits record in the stereo for you, but no one does. 👆 and I think this is why so many find themselves in mediocre relationships, jobs, homes or just having lackluster lives.

You feel "stuck" but you don't know why. The reason is because you're not doing anything to change your situation. It's easy to stay where you are. Your days pass by easily and before you know it, thirty years have gone by without any major incidents occurring in your life 🤷‍♀️

I don't mean to be all doom and gloom when I'm telling you this, but if something doesn't change soon, you're going to end up being one of those people who only have things to say about their past because they wasted their present figuring out what they wanted. And that's no way to live.

When you build a foundation of self-confidence and purpose through new fitness goals, meaningful work and engaging hobbies, you give yourself the leverage to go out into the world and achieve great things 💃🔥

When you're feeling good about who you are and what your future holds (and everyone around you can tell because it shows in how you carry yourself), that's when people start taking notice.

👉NEVER settle for less than your best because we're all capable of having a great life if we just stop being so afraid of taking action.

Still feeling detached with everything that's been going on in the world❓⤵

That “down” sensation like sadness is more complex than simply telling you to just "talk it out with a mate."

I recommend that you work on yourself to gain a sense of security and self-certainty. This is most readily done through focusing on your body's health and fitness🤔

❌"At this point, I'm really not motivated," "No, I'm completely uninterested," "It won't happen," and so on.

Oh no, wait, I didn't mean some stupid fitness fad or hard unsustainable diet that's popular at the moment (shakes/keto/raw/vegan etc.)

"So some half-baked self-help book?... *roll eyes*"🙄

Hell no!❌

I mean, well-researched proven fitness that's driven by powerful and meaningful goals✅
This is the only way you'll ever experience long-term change.

Why do I say "powerful and meaningful goals?"
Because what's the point of getting fit without some specific purpose in mind?

It's hard to stay motivated for things that are vague or poorly defined, since there doesn't seem like there's any driving force behind them.

And fitness training will actually help you end up loving your body and to feel a sense of comradery with it instead of mental and physical exhaustion

A practice that helps you experience a deeper relationship with yourself. Of course this starts with a bit of learning🤓

This isn't all about your mental wellbeing or some fluffy hippie crap. It's scientifically proven to make you sharper, increase your self-control and resilience towards stress.

Also, it makes you stronger, leaner and more body confident too!💃🍑

What do you find to be most intimidating about the gym?🥺⤵️

Every single fitness influencer and celebrity was once in your shoes and went from knowing absolutely nothing about working out to being able to lift more than some men can handle🍑

Here are some tips to get started on learning the ropes.

➡️Follow a program!

I can't stress this enough. Years ago when I first started going to the gym, not only did I have no idea what I was doing but I had no clue as to whether or not my form was right.

This is where you need a program and to learn from a coach that knows what they're doing. We are awesome at making workouts fun and interesting, so don't be afraid to try something new - it could become the highlight of your day.

Your body will thank you for trying something new.

➡️Know that most people in the gym DO see you're new, but they are so proud of you! 👀🥳

Many of them are too shy to say hello, but in their head they're thinking "Nice work! You can do this!"

And you will. Work through your fears in the gym and focus on what you want rather than all the things that are holding you back.

I promise 'they' (and I) are in your corner.

You'll meet so many people who will be more than happy to help along the way.

There's no time limit on learning, what matters is that you're learning and enjoying yourself!

➡️Stay motivated!🎯

Whether it be friends or fitness influencers, stay motivated even when getting started can be hard.

Invite your mates to go with you or make them your gym buddies. It's more fun having someone there with you (and it'll prevent you from running away).

The truth is, the only person judging your every move is you 🤔

❌I NEVER recommend completely cutting out certain foods or food groups when dieting❗️⤵️

Moderation is the key to a successful diet, not elimination✅

Instead, my clients make small changes for BIG results — moderation, not deprivation, is the real key to sustainable weight loss.

One swap that has the power to reduce calories & satisfy your sweet tooth? Switching to diet-sodas.

"But that stuff is loaded with controversial aspartame & can actually lead to weight gain⁉️"

Not necessarily.

Overweight people attempt diets more frequently than most, & being mis-informed on how to lose weight, opt to drink diet sodas.

Makes sense, right? You don't hear of healthy weight people putting on a ton of fat & then pass the blame to diets soda's🤔

But aren’t artificial sweeteners terrible for us?
Aren't you better off just cutting all "fake" foods out of their diet?

You can go overboard with artificial sweeteners, but a moderate amount can be ok. Zero-calorie beverages help quench your cravings without adding to your waistline!

I'm a big fan of the fact that diet soda does NOT contain sugar. As regular sodas are basically flavoured liquid candy bars😋

✅1 per day is perfectly fine for most

But know that diet soda is NOT the devil drink it's made out to be. It's a good thing to consider adding into your diet, & can help you drop pounds & inches if part of a larger healthy diet plan.

Should you be drinking diet soda instead of regular soda's & fruit-juices? I think so—but at the end of the day, try to make sure your next glass is water.. The less processed junk in your system, the better off you'll be!👌

Which brings me back to my original point—moderation is the key! Don't try to cut everything out at once just because it might not be 100% "healthy."

When you finally prioritize your fitness goals again... 😊🍉⤵

You’ll finally develop a new sense of self which makes it easier for you to go after what you want in career, relationships, dating, etc. You’ll feel like you’re getting in touch with your true self, which makes it easier for you to be honest with others and yourself about what you want.

You know this, but you've experienced so many unsustainable yo-yo diets and unrealistic workout plans, so what you really need is a PROVEN non-restrictive lifestyle change 🍑💃

It's not about looking like a magazine model, it's about setting goals that are 100% achievable for you.

The truth is that even the fittest models struggle with diets and exercise plans, which often leave them feeling exhausted, depressed, hormone-imbalanced, and addicted to food.👀

By learning how to prepare healthy meals without restricting yourself too much or spending hours in the gym, you’ll feel empowered to move toward your ultimate personal goals faster than ever before 🤍

If you love yoga and meditation, they’re great for fitness and well-being, but if you’re not getting the results you want with your workouts, it’s time to look at home-based or gym resistance exercises.

So many people spend countless hours doing cardio or weightlifting in the gym every week.

They frequently try new programs that they don't even enjoy because they're determined to keep up their fitness level, which requires them to exert a ton of effort every day just to maintain it.

This is EXACTLY why I created the B***y Building Club: so you can finally get in touch with your body and love exercise again! 🤍💪

When you haven't been prioritizing your fitness, how do you look at yourself in the mirror? 🙄🙈Physically and mentally? What do you say to yourself?

Let’s cut out the political correctness.. the better you believe you look, the more confident you usually are. Period. Self-worth issues arise when you start to compare your life to others.. That’s the biggest thief of joy❗️

Then when you’re in a ‘fitness’ rut, you trick yourself by claiming there's no time to exercise each week, and eliminate any guilt you should have felt for not looking after yourself.

As you continue to fail at prioritizing your fitness, you usually just start ignoring your body in the mirror and don't pay attention to it until something confronts happens (such as a friend’s uninvited comment, or an unflattering picture of you gets taken, etc). Then you get all upset at yourself for not looking better.😔

Mentally you tell yourself that you should have started earlier or worked harder. But you'll typically think that it's too much effort to get healthy again - and so the hunt for a quick solution/ fad begins for the 20th time!

Am I right?

✨Your health shows in your appearance✨

So although your mind tells you that there's no point trying because you know it will be hard and might not work; I know deep down you probably think about how good it'll feel if/when you’re able to change this time around.

I know you want to be a stronger, happier and more confident version of yourself. And I think it's time for you to start taking care of your body and mindset again.

Let's get you loving what you see in the mirror and out of that slump you're in right now💃

Why should you get back into a fitness routine after having a baby❓

There are MANY great reasons to get back into a fitness routine after having a baby. Each new mum is different and will have different doctor's recommendations. But most doctors will tell you to wait at least 2-3 months before starting a serious fitness routine ⤵

1️⃣ To get your health, strength and energy back

All that extra weight and body changes can affect your energy levels. With all the changes going on in your life, fitting in a fitness routine will help you fight fatigue and get yourself back into fighting shape.

It’s the old oxygen mask on a plane analogy✈️... help yourself first, so you can help those around you!

2️⃣ To improve your mood and basically, your life

Exercising will improve your mood. The tiredness, the aching, the extra pounds and the mood swings will take their toll on you. And exercise is one of the best ways to alleviate all those symptoms.

3️⃣ To stay healthy for your family

If you have a new-born, the last thing you need is to get sick. Staying healthy for your children is very important and exercise and non-restrictive eating helps you stay healthy 🍉

4️⃣ And the obvious, to get your body back into shape

The number one reason for getting back into a fitness routine after having a baby is usually to get your body back into shape. Don’t feel guilty for these feelings - they’re perfectly normal 😊

You will also need to exercise in order to strengthen up and repair your muscles after the pregnancy. A process that can take up to 12 months to recover from.

I’ve coached new mums, full-time mums and busy working mums, so DM or comment "ME" below for more information, more energy, an easy and fully-custom nutrition plan for you and the family, to add 1-2 INCHES on your glutes and lose 3-5 off your waist in the next 30 days‼ 🔥

What are some of the worst restrictive diet you've come across❓ (Comment yours below)⤵️

Guru's often recommend cutting out carbohydrates (sugars) in an attempt to lose weight, but here are 3 reasons why this can actually have a negative impact and lead to weight-gain 😫

1️⃣ The risk of nutrient deficiencies increases

When we cut out entire food groups, we need to make sure to replace those nutrients or we risk deficiencies. Carbohydrates are often found in fortified prepared foods and make it easy to get the nutrients we need. If we eliminate them entirely, we need to be more mindful of where we're getting our nutrients.

2️⃣ They can discourage sustainable lifestyle changes

Cutting out food groups can lead to binging in some people and guilt over eating “unhealthy” foods. This type of diet usually results in falling off the wagon and returning to old habits.

3️⃣ They don't take individual differences into account.

All bodies are different and some people will have better success restricting certain foods than others. Cutting out a whole food group is a one-size-fits-all approach that doesn't take into account individual needs. This can lead to disordered eating habits and inaccurate perceptions about what a "healthy diet" is.

The best diets are those that YOU enjoy, that YOU can sustain and that take basic nutritional guidelines and promote healthy food choices 80% of the time, and allow for freedom eating for the other 20% 😍

Eliminating carbohydrates from your diet can actually have a negative effect on your overall health and well-being. Rather than cutting out entire food groups, take a more mindful approach to your eating and focus on adding nutritious whole foods into your diet.

If you could go back in time and talk to your 20-year-old self, what fitness tips would you give yourself❓ ⤵️

For me...

1️⃣ When you eat the RIGHT calories, diets become both fun & emotionally satisfying

The tough truth... Diet is THE MOST important thing in terms of weight loss, body composition change and looking good. If you're not eating with purpose, you have NO chance of hitting your goals.

Start with a NON-restrictive diet, make it fulfilling and make sure you continue to refine your preferences for at least 3 months. Don't worry about losing too much weight too fast. Be patient and let your body adapt as you learn to master counting the right calories.

I cannot stress this enough - if you only got 1 tip from me, make it this one‼️

2️⃣ Don't Over-Train, Don't Give Up

Although diet is more important for your physique goals, training is still important. Stick to a proven model and make it enjoyable. Make sure you’re consistent with your training. You don't need to go crazy in the gym, or too frequently, because recovery is key!

Also eating enough protein is super important. Your muscles can't grow without it.

3️⃣ Prioritise high quality, rejuvenating sleep😴

Getting enough sleep will not only make you recover faster and help your body reach its hormonal potential. This will in turn, give you an edge in all areas of your life, and you'll always feel healthier.

4️⃣ Go out, party more and do more new things to learn what makes you happy

Sounds counter intuitive, but it's super important to prioritise your downtime, and learn how to get rid of stress as often as possible.

Pretty soon, you'll start to live a very busy life and have too much on your plate.

Bonus # 5️⃣ - It's never too late to start mastering ALL of the above 😉

We've all heard "beauty is in the eye of the beholder." 👀⤵️

However to some, this can actually be a harsh reality.

In actuality, only 4% of women feel they are beautiful according to a survey of more than 10,000 women across 14 nations‼️

If you feel the need to fit a very narrow standard of beauty, or you're struggling with low body confidence, you're not alone.

After coaching many women on how to accomplish their weight-loss and physique objectives, here are some of my strategies for improving body self-esteem:

1️⃣ Care for your body

Sometimes before you're willing to believe you're beautiful, you might need to learn HOW to genuinely care for your body.

Diving into health, nutrition and exercise is an extremely important starting point. Living a healthier lifestyle so your body can FEEL its best and function at its best. Start small!

2️⃣ Strength train

Weight training is one of the BEST ways to increase self-esteem. Not only does it produce long lasting strength, but this translates into increased self-belief, hormonal optimization and confident curves.

3️⃣ Dress to impress

I'm not talking about wearing your sexiest dress or most expensive jewellery. I'm talking about how you feel when you get ready in the morning 😁

It's important to wear clothes that fit you and make YOU feel comfortable in your own skin.
Accentuating your body's strengths, not hiding your perceived “weaknesses”.

It’s hard to just love yourself out of thin air. But when you add healthy habits and build a sense of pride in your everyday life, then you can truly begin to live the lifestyle you were meant to live - and start generating that happiness and purpose from within.
