Employees of the Month – November 2025!

After much discussion in the office, we simply couldn’t choose between these two outstanding team members – and what a great “problem” to have! Their professionalism, compassion, and dedication consistently make a positive impact on the facilities and residents they support.

We’re thrilled to announce that Sekai and Muna are our Employees of the Month for November 2025! 🎉

They’re a little too shy for a photo, but that doesn’t make their achievement any less worthy of celebration. Thank you for your incredible work and the difference you make every day – facilities have shared fantastic feedback, and we’re so proud to celebrate you both!

AIHW

Gestational Diabetes: Nearly 1 in 5 (18% or 53,900) women aged 15–49 who gave birth in hospital in 2021–22 had been diagnosed with gestational diabetes during their pregnancy.
AIHW

Caring for others is rewarding - but it can also be demanding. That’s why taking time to rest and recharge isn’t a luxury - it’s essential. Whether it’s a short walk, a cup of tea, a hobby, or just a few moments of quiet, these small acts of self-care help you stay energized, focused, and resilient.

Remember, you can’t pour from an empty cup. Make rest a priority, and watch how it positively impacts both your wellbeing and the care you provide.

Wellness Tip of the Month: Take at least one intentional break today—your mind and body will thank you.

Spending just 15 minutes of quality time with an aged care resident or participant can have a huge impact on their mood and wellbeing. Simple acts like having a conversation, sharing a laugh, reading together, or even just sitting and listening can make them feel valued, connected, and happier.

It’s a small investment of time that creates meaningful moments and strengthens relationships. In aged care, these little interactions often make the biggest difference.

Let’s remember - it’s the quality of the time, not the quantity, that truly matters.

Balancing work and life can be especially challenging in demanding fields like healthcare. It’s important to be intentional about looking after yourself. Prioritizing self-care is key - this might mean setting clear boundaries around your work hours, saying no when your plate is full, and taking regular breaks throughout the day to rest and recharge.

Tips to avoid burnout:

- Set clear boundaries between work and personal time
- Take regular breaks during your day
- Make time for activities that recharge you (exercise, hobbies, family/friends)
- Prioritize sleep and maintain a healthy diet
- Stay active and incorporate movement into your routine
- Practice mindfulness, meditation, or relaxation techniques
- Reach out for support if you’re feeling overwhelmed
- Celebrate small wins and acknowledge your achievements

Finding time for activities that energize you - whether it’s exercise, hobbies, spending quality time with family or friends, or simply enjoying quiet moments -can make a significant difference in maintaining your well-being.

Caring for yourself is part of caring for others.
