Chelsea’s Last Hurrah - Dream Job attained!!⁣

We always knew this day would come, but we dreaded it! Our youngest member of the team, the ultimate member of the Jones clan, the all-seeing, all-anticipating Chelsea has secured her dream job as an architect- bitch had to bide her time and then some!⁣
⁣
Chelsea has been so many things. The one to move people, organise the lost and firmly direct the vague, the one who keeps all the tiny details on lock so everything runs like a silky smooth squeak-free engine.⁣
⁣
Chelsea is the finder of things, the getter of needed objects, Kimba’s bonafide support animal without whom she is herself a lamb in the wilderness.⁣

Chelsea is just down the road in Collingwood with a complete wardrobe of neutrals (abandoning Ash to be the sole keeper of beige) but she is irreplaceable and we are bereft without her.⁣

While Mon & Ophelia were in Chicago on their grief-nerd work trip, they visited Graceland Cemetery, and frankly they’re still recovering from how beautiful it is.⁣
⁣
Tucked between Clark and Irving Park, Graceland is a gothic garden party fever dream for the dearly departed. Think serene park vibes with a strong side of legacy; the kind of place where century-old oaks and 19th-century icons share space without competing for attention.⁣
⁣
The guest list? Only Chicago’s finest: politicians, sporting legends, industrial tycoons, and some of the architects who literally built the city. Designed by landscape genius O.C. Simonds and friends, the place is dripping with elegance, symbolism, and those deliciously moody cemetery aesthetics we live for.⁣
⁣
Despite being over 150 years old, Graceland isn’t just a historic show pony, it’s still a working cemetery and arboretum. It’s alive in every sense of the word. And if cemeteries could be influencers, Graceland would absolutely be wearing black-on-black and sipping cold drip while quoting Frank Lloyd Wright.⁣
