Calcium is vital for healthy bones, teeth, muscle function, and heart health! Here are the top 5 vegan sources of calcium!

Calcium Recommended daily intake (RDI)
Adults (19-50 years): 1,000 mg/day
Adults (over 50 years): 1,200 mg/day

Children (1-3 years): 500 mg
Children (4-8 years): 700 mg
Children (9-11 years): 1,000 mg
Children (12-18 years): 1,300 mg

Pregnant and breastfeeding people (14-18 years): 1,300 mg

Here are the top 5 whole food, plant-based sources of calcium:

1. Fortified plant milk (300-400 mg per cup)
2. Tofu(200-300 mg per 3 oz serving)
3. Dark leafy greens (collard greens) (250 mg per cup cooked)
4. Edamame (200 mg per cup cooked)

After hours appointments available! Northcote Natural Therapies is much more than a Naturopathic and Massage clinic. We also have art therapy, nutritional consultations and lomi lomi massage. All this an a fabulous vegan retail space! Our retail space reflects our philosophy that good health requires a holistic approach involving not only our bodies, but the environment in which we live. Products we stock have been sourced with this in mind. Our products have been thoroughly researched and as a result, we offer palm oil free and vegan skincare, cleaning products, soaps, organic teas, bamboo baby products, BPA free products, soy candles, gift wares and much more!. Where possible our beautiful herbal teas, which have a therapeutic focus, soaps, skin care products and cosmetics contain organic ingredients, the finest virgin oils and botanical ingredients and are locally produced and palm oil free. We consider travel miles when purchasing, only using imported products when a high quality local alternative is not available. Company ethics are also considered before the decision is made to stock a particular product. Northcote Natural Therapies is proud to be vegan :)
