Don't know where your fatigue is coming from? 😫
Understanding the difference between iron and ferritin could explain why you’re feeling flat - even if your iron levels came back 'normal' 📊
Iron in your blood comes from your diet and is used quickly to oxygenate your body whereas Ferritin stores excess iron, like a savings account for days when your intake falls short. Low ferritin (even with normal iron) could mean your reserves are depleted - this is known as non-anaemic iron deficiency. 📉
Blood tests can assess both iron and ferritin levels to provide a more complete picture of your iron status.
