Pottery Wednesday 🌀✨

Clay carries my fingerprints. My breath. My stories.
Every vessel I shape feels like a piece of my own remembering, rising up through my hands and into form.

This is why I have held back from placing my clay pieces on my website. They do not feel like products. They feel like fragments of me. And sometimes the thought of letting them go feels like letting part of myself slip away.

But clay was never meant to stay still. Just like flame, it was born to move, to be held, to be used. To carry energy from one soul to another.

So I am learning, slowly and vulnerably, to release. To trust that when the time is right, these creations will find their keepers.

For now, here are today’s pieces, raw, imperfect, alive.
They are my practice of becoming.

She’s been resting in her dark cupboard sanctuary,
whispering her medicine into the oil.
Every day, her scent grows softer yet deeper.
Every day, her colour shifts toward gold.

This is the slow magick I love
the kind you can’t rush,
the kind that remembers exactly what it’s here to become.

REMEMBERING WHERE I BEGAN

I did not learn to make candles from a course.
There was no manual. No teacher standing beside me.

Just me
my hands
and a deep, aching need to create something that felt like soul work.

In the very beginning, I had no idea what I was doing.
I poured wax in the wrong order.
I dressed them without knowing why.
I even made some completely upside down.

But here’s the truth.
They still worked.
Because it was never about perfect technique.
It was about the intention I breathed into them.
It was about the way each candle held my healing, my prayers, my remembering.

Every time I made another candle, I worked through another part of myself.
A wound.
A fear.
A truth I had buried.

The wax became my mirror.
The flame became my teacher.
And somewhere in that dance of creation, I began to remember who I was.

Not the me who followed rules.
Not the me who waited to be ready.
But the me who dared to create while still becoming.

If you are waiting to be perfect before you begin
this is your sign
to start anyway.

The power is in the making.
The remembering happens as you create.

Some days I’m the Fire Witch
Other days I’m the packaging queen
And today… I’m also your local postal priestess
Blessing every parcel with rosemary and prayer before legging it to the counter with wattle in my hair and smoke in my heart

Running a soulful business means wearing all the hats
Witch. Maker. Shipper. Storyteller.
Tea drinker. Smoke swirler. Tech support.
And occasionally… Australia Post’s best dressed

But today isn’t just any shipping day
It’s 8.8 — The Lion’s Gate is open

And these parcels?
They’re soul fire on the move

To those who have chosen to sit by the fire with me through this remembering
My heart is full
