Amanda and family have recently welcomed the latest little member of the My 2 Feet family, Ava Louise. Making Millie a very proud big sister in early September 😍 (that's a full house of girls for the podiatry clinic!)

Amanda will be on maternity leave until the middle of December 2023, so make sure you get in quick for your pre-Christmas appointment as spots are filling fast!

Sophie is currently in the clinic Monday - Thursday in the meantime. The team is working super hard to get everyone in as soon as possible, so just let reception know your preferred days and times and Sophie will call you back as soon as something becomes available.

Archie's are orthotic thongs that give you just a little bit more than the average flat thong.
Our podiatrists will be happy to answer any questions and fit you properly.

⚡ POWER OUTAGE ⚡

Not surprisingly we've had a power outage at the clinic with the crazy weather last night and this morning. We are hopeful the power will return, but until then we will need to reschedule appointments. If you do have an appointment today we will contact you and if you don't hear from us you can assume your appointment will be going ahead as planned.

COVID-19 LOCKDOWN UPDATE:

As it has been indicated that this lockdown will be identical to the most recent lockdown, allied health are considered essential.

We will once again remain open with restrictions. If you have an appointment with us over the following 5 days, we will be in contact with you if you do not meet the criteria. If you do require essential clinical care then your appointment will remain in place.

COVID-19 LOCKDOWN UPDATE:

We have received word from the Australian Podiatry Association that we have been considered as an essential service during this 7 day lockdown period.

However, there are still restrictions which will mean that we will only be able to provide care to individuals that meet the criteria outlined to us and that we will be operating under reduced hours.

The criteria indicates that we are only able to treat those who require essential critical care (ie have an infection, require ongoing care to prevent deterioration, etc).

The clinic will be in contact in the next day with those who do not meet the criteria to reschedule your appointment post lockdown. If you do not hear from us, your appointment will remain in place.

Unfortunately, we have just been informed that all private allied health practices will also need to close during the 5 day lockdown. We will re-open on Thursday 18th February provided the lockdown is not extended.
If you currently have an appointment with us during the 5 day lockdown period, we are currently working on a solution so that you will be seen as soon as possible. We will contact you today once we have a timetable organised.

As a result of an increase in Covid-19 cases, the Victorian Government have today announced a 5 day lockdown for all of Victoria, effective from 11.59pm tonight (February, 12)

In regards to allied health practitioners, The Victorian Government Circuit Breaker Action – Table of Restrictions defines the following as an ‘essential worker’ during the 5 day lockdown:
“i. allied health services provided by allied health professionals working as essential workers in hospitals or in residential care facilities providing critical clinical care or as directed by the hospital; or
ii. allied health services provided by allied health professionals working in private practice providing care through telehealth and other virtual care options;

In line with this, all private allied health practitioners in Victoria must delay all appointments if they cannot be moved to telehealth. Private practice allied health (including podiatrists) cannot provide face to face services – no exceptions.

The clinic is now closed for Christmas!
Thank you for all the support this year. We want to wish everyone a safe and happy Christmas and New Year. Hopefully everyone gets a chance to spend time with their family and friends, and we can start fresh in 2021!

Sophie has welcomed her new addition to the My 2 Feet family - meet Hailey 😍
Big sis Zoe is very excited to have a baby sister and has been very helpful.
Sophie will be on maternity leave until March.

Amanda and Julia are still in the clinic though. And we're excited to be having Lidia join our clinic on a permanent basis in January. Lidia went to university with both Sophie and Amanda so will fit in beautifully with the team.

Amanda is back from maternity leave!
She'll be in the clinic every Monday and Tuesday 😊

Amanda and Sophie seem to be popping out babies left, right and centre! So while Amanda is still on maternity leave and Sophie begins to cut back before she goes on maternity leave at the end of the year, we've added another member to our team 😀

The lovely Julia will be working with us temporarily until the girls get back on their feet again. Julia will be at the clinic every Wednesday and Friday taking care of all your podiatry needs.

COVID UPDATE.

Due to the current covid situation. The DHHS has restricted podiatric treatment to URGENT cases only.

As we know, this includes treatment of conditions that may lead to infections or wound development (ingrown toenails, corns and callouses on high risk patients such as those with diabetes or cardiac history, and the vulnerable communities such as elderly or immobile).

If you don't meet these requirements or are unsure please contact the clinic on 94321666 and our reception staff will assist you.

We are extremely sorry for the inconvenience, however it's a government protocol we must follow until mid September.

**😷😷 Important update 😷😷**

As of Wednesday 11.59pm you will be required to wear a mask when visiting the clinic. We understand there are some exemptions, so do not hesitate to let us know. It's for your safety and ours!

Amanda is officially on maternity leave after welcoming the safe arrival of her baby girl over the weekend.
