DAM Busters BCS Dragon Boat Club would like to congratulate our team member Helen Johnston who competed with the Aurora's at the 17th IDBF World Dragon Boat Racing Championships in Brandenburg an der Havel.
Helen was part of the Senior C Team who have come away with Gold in the Mixed 20s - 200m, Silver in the Mixed 20s - 2km, Silver in the Women’s 20s - 200m & Silver in the Women’s 20s - 500m.
They also achieved Bronze in the Mixed 20s - 500m and the Women’s 20s - 1km and finished 4th on four occasions, bringing their medal haul to 2 gold, 5 silver & 4 bronze 🥇🥈🥉
We are very proud of the Aurora's and of Helen, we have seen how hard she has worked leading up to the Championships, and she now has some bling to prove her commitment!🌟

On a calm and serene morning, the harbour was sunny and the water was like glass 😌
We'd love to invite anyone who would like to give Dragon Boating a go, to a Come and Try session with us!

A beautiful morning on the water, finishing with breakfast with Scott and staff at Groovy Mama Fusion Café where we are always looked after like Queens!
Sue's Grand Daughters Jade and Paige were on board today, and new Sweeps Amanda and Liana in training rounded out the morning. Congrats to one of our Coaches, Helen who leaves tomorrow to represent Australia at the IDBF World Championships in Germany. Go Helen 🥇🌟

A week ago DAM Busters BCS Dragon Boat Club were arriving on beautiful Bribie Island, invited as guests to spend the weekend with our friends, Dragons Bribie Island !
And what a weekend! 👏 Chauffeured from the airport, wined and dined and shown everything that makes this island special, including sunsets and paddling with dolphins!
How blessed are we to have such wonderful friends, and as one gorgeous woman said to us, "if we'd never had Breast Cancer, we never would have met!!"🩷 Thank you beautiful people 🙏🐉
