The Stampers Mess - Genna Gifford

The Stampers Mess - Genna Gifford Based in Cranbourne North, Victoria and serving stampers Australia-wide! Being a Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator is so much more than I thought it would or could be.

I signed up to justify the time I wanted to spend being creative but couldn’t fit in around my busy life. And what I found is an endless array of people to meet and share my passion with. My solitary hobby is now the means of getting equal pleasure from learning, teaching and sharing the world of stamping. And the rewards go far beyond allowing myself to indulge my passion. I get to share it with others and watch as they grow and develop in their skills. There’s nothing better than seeing someone get such joy from creations they didn’t know they were capable of. Add to that the friendships I’ve formed with customers and fellow demonstrators, the skills I’ve learnt, the cards, scrapbook pages, gift and keepsakes I’ve created and there simply is no looking back. I’m hooked for life! Read more about my Stampin' Up! story here: http://thestampersmess.com/genna-gifford/

In this chain my card was No. 9, and it was a gatefold fancy fold - the gatefold was an additional layer rather than the basis of the card itself.
My version featured the new Garden Poetry papers in Berry Burst & Blackberry Bliss. I used both sides of the paper and also fussy cut an element out for the feature.

You know that moment when something stops you in your tracks and sends a shiver down your spine? Well that happened in our hall.
We have two photos taken at the Grand Canyon hanging on opposite sides. They've only been moved there recently. Before that they were hanging side by side in our lounge.
One is our engagement photo taken in 2000.
The other is of the four of us when we took the boys there in 2013.
When you happen to pause in just the right spot you can see our future family clearly reflected in our young, hopeful, newly engaged selves just minutes after the proposal.
Shivers. And a heart full of joy!

In this chain my card was the final one, featuring the Encircled With Love and Lifetime of Love stamps - both of which are now on the Last Chance List at a discount. I went for a soft monochrome look focussing on the pale Bubble Bath pink, which turned out to be a long way from how this card originated.

To see how these cards changed on their journey, start with the first one from Nancy Hoetker here: https://www.nancysniftynotes.com/non-christmas-greenery-celebrate-card/

Now that this card has been given, I thought I'd share an Easter card I made with the Blessed Beginnings Bundle.
I thought that this was a really pretty church and I loved that it comes with trees, bushes and clouds to give it a sense of place as well.
I used muted tones for the colouring to fit in with the white theme. And I liked how the Everyday Arches Dies mimicked the arch of the windows and the shape of the building.

Happy Easter everyone. I've had some old friends come to join me.

In this chain my card was No. 3, featuring the now sadly retired Big Little Things stamp set. I went for a monochrome Cloud Cover look for this one. And I loved doing the torn section masking.

In this chain my card was No. 5, featuring the Boardwalk Fun dies and the Beach Boardwalk papers for the background. This design had both a book fold spine and a diagonal opening for lots of fun so I thought these products would work perfectly to add to the fun theme.
