The Stampers Mess - Genna Gifford Based in Cranbourne North, Victoria and serving stampers Australia-wide! Being a Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator is so much more than I thought it would or could be.

I signed up to justify the time I wanted to spend being creative but couldn’t fit in around my busy life. And what I found is an endless array of people to meet and share my passion with. My solitary hobby is now the means of getting equal pleasure from learning, teaching and sharing the world of stamping. And the rewards go far beyond allowing myself to indulge my passion. I get to share it with

others and watch as they grow and develop in their skills. There’s nothing better than seeing someone get such joy from creations they didn’t know they were capable of. Add to that the friendships I’ve formed with customers and fellow demonstrators, the skills I’ve learnt, the cards, scrapbook pages, gift and keepsakes I’ve created and there simply is no looking back. I'm so glad that the Friendly Seagulls stamp set is back briefly. It gives me a chance to talk about something amazing that happened in January.

After I had to unexpectedly extend my stay in the UK to care for my in laws, I was desperately missing my craft room. I reached out to the nearest Stampin' Up! demonstrator to me in Berkshire - the lovely Helen Cook - to see if she had a class I could attend. She didn't, because she was just about to leave on a holiday to Australia!

But Helen heard my story and instead gathered up some supplies, drove over to pick me up, and we spent a few hours in a garden centre cafe chatting and playing with those gorgeous seagulls.

Helen didn't know me, but she showed me such kindness and generously gave me some time out that I really needed at the time. I'll think of her every time I see seagulls! And I look forward to catching up with her again next time, whenever and wherever that may be.
