Grevillea House is an essential part of MannaCare, offering a supportive environment for older people through its Social Support Groups. These groups are dedicated to promoting social interaction, mental stimulation, and overall well-being among seniors. The activities provided are diverse and engaging, catering to a wide range of interests and abilities. Visitors can participate in arts and crafts, gentle exercise sessions, music therapy, and group discussions, all designed to foster a sense of community and companionship. By providing these opportunities, Grevillea House helps enhance the quality of life, ensuring they remain active, socially connected, and fulfilled.

Our wonderful residents enjoyed a calming and joyful flower arrangement activity. Creating beautiful floral displays not only stimulates the senses but also promotes memory and hand coordination — a wonderful way to nurture well-being and connection.

💪✨ Lovely Ladies in action at DRS
Every Wednesday, this inspiring group of women aged 80 to 92 come together for our group exercise class, and it’s so much more than just fitness 💛
They move, laugh, catch up over coffee, and even bust out the Nutbush 🕺🎶
Described as a “lifesaver” and “fun”, the class is all about staying strong, feeling supported, and sharing joy thanks to our incredible physio Jo who keeps things tailored, safe and full of heart 💚
No matter how they’re feeling, these ladies show up and always leave smiling 😊

👋 Some exciting news from us at MannaCare

We’re really pleased to welcome Travis Heeney as our new Chief Executive Officer.

Travis joined us this week and brings a wealth of experience from aged care, community services, local government, health and education.

What stood out most to our Board Members is his strong values, genuine care for people and thoughtful leadership style. He’s someone who listens, connects with people and leads with purpose and we’re really looking forward to what’s ahead under his guidance.

A huge thank you to Ian Goldsmith and Nusia Krolikowski who have been holding the fort as Acting CEO and COO during this time. Your steady leadership and support have meant so much to all of us.

Travis has already hit the ground running and is keen to meet our people, residents and families. We’re feeling hopeful and positive about the future.
