Happy Mother’s Day — just three simple words, yet they can bring either deep joy or overwhelming sadness. For those facing infertility, miscarriage, or grieving the loss of a mother, this day can be incredibly hard. There’s no shame in stepping back to take care of yourself—whether that means logging off, hiding away, or indulging in a little self-care.

If today is tough, know this: you're not alone, your feelings are valid, and it's okay to do whatever you need to make it through.

We are excited to welcome Lucy McCourt to the All Minds Psychology clinic!

Lucy is available on Wednesdays, from 7th May. New clients are welcome.

Lucy is a clinical psychologist who works with adults navigating trauma, anxiety, mood disturbances, as well as other challenges that they may be facing. Lucy has a strong focus on areas such as ​Anxiety, Depression, Trauma and PTSD, Adjustment disorders, Stress management, Parenting, family and relationships, Chronic health conditions and Self-esteem.

Lucy employs a range of therapeutic interventions and a preference to work using the following models: Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Schema Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Mindfulness.

Today, we celebrate the incredible women at All Minds Psychology—our dedicated psychologists and admin staff whose compassion, expertise, and care make a difference every day. I’m so grateful to work alongside such a talented and supportive team who are truly passionate about making a positive impact.

We also take this moment to recognise and appreciate all women—including trans women, non-binary people, and gender-diverse individuals who connect with this day. Your strength, resilience, and contributions make the world a better, more inclusive place.

Just as we wouldn't hesitate to seek medical attention for a physical ailment, we shouldn't hesitate to seek help for our mental health.
