A few weeks ago we welcomed our February intake of Graduate Nurses to RMH, with our final intake commencing in March.

It’s an exciting but surreal moment as we start to see the 2025 Gradates commence on the wards and our 2024 cohort finish the program and a demonstration of how far they’ve come across the past 12 months.

Can you believe our January Graduate nurses are almost one month in already. You can see the confidence shining from Natalie on her first non-supernumerary shifts compared to completing local area orientation simulating the scrub scout role with fellow Graduate Joe ✨✨

On Monday we welcome our February cohort to RMH, we are so excited to meet them.

Our Gen Surg grads are settling in well and finding their supernumerary groove! 3 South have taken some happy snaps during the GNPs supernumerary week.

We love the mentorship between GNP cohorts - here we have outgoing 2024 GNPs Jess and Maddie with our incoming 2025 GNPs Bec and Amelia.

Our Graduates complete a Preceptorship Workshop as their last study day, providing skills and knowledge to work with learners, as well as recognise the important contributions and growth they’ve made themselves over their first year of practice.

A recent team nomination “You Made a Difference” award was the team in 6W dialysis.

They received a nomination for the ‘top shelf service by a top shelf team’ which enabled a patient from NZ to travel to Australia for a holiday, the first in 6 years!

RMH Graduate Nurse Angel, as well as colleagues Mon and Helen were given a special mention for their professional and caring manner.

Well done!
