I trained at Lincoln Institute in Melbourne and have a Bachelor of Applied Science in Speech Pathology. For the first half of my career I worked in several leading Melbourne hospitals including the Alfred, Austin and Royal Childrens’ Hospitals. I have worked with both adults and children with a variety of communication difficulties. Alongside my hospital work, I started my own private practice in
1990. I later went on to work in a large group practice in the eastern suburbs of Melbourne where I provided therapy services both in the clinic and at several well respected independent schools. For the past 13 years, I have worked primarily in a Community Health setting with children requiring therapy to assist their speech, language and early literacy development. I have considerable experience working across the ages ranging from very young language-delayed children to pre-schoolers with speech, language and fluency difficulties, school aged children and adolescents with language-based literacy and learning difficulties. I am skilled in the delivery of both individual and group therapy programs. I have also been fortunate to work in specialist multi-disciplinary programs such as the Autism Assessment Team at the Austin Hospital and the Early Intervention Program at Biala Box Hill. I am committed to providing high-quality, evidence based therapy programs to my clients and am trained in Hanen, Prompt, Lidcombe, Blades, Thrass and Spalding programs.
