This lights up my Xin and Shen so much. Xin is the TCM concept of the Heart system, which houses joy, personality, and what you’re naturally drawn to. Shen is your spirit, your expression, your connection to self.

What do you mean flavour flav is a TCM lesson? How could that possibly have anything to do with Chinese medicine?

In uncertain times, your Liver which governs frustration, perception, and your sense of direction can become dry and out of balance. When that happens, you try to control everything around you. You become hyper-fixated, and your focus shifts toward what’s wrong instead of what’s working.

The Liver also opens into the eyes. So if you’re constantly on your phone, scrolling, trying to feel some sense of control, you’re feeding that imbalance. The algorithm then keeps giving you more of the same, and you end up stuck in it.

Neurologically and in Chinese medicine, where you place your attention matters. If you actively choose to focus on something lighter, something that makes you laugh, something that gives you a small dopamine hit, it shifts your system. It supports your Xin, which then supports your Shen. That’s what helps you show up brighter in your life.

TCM would call this a simple life hack to support mood, reduce anxiety, and pull you out of a doom-scrolling spiral.

Another way to help the Liver relax is through your eyes. If you feel stuck in your phone, look up. Move your gaze around the room. Let your eyes shift focus, then see if you can put your phone down.

However, I will be deep in the internet searching all things related to Flavour Flav’s donation list for Girls Got Game weekend because this is the happiest part of the internet for me this week.

If you’ve found anything I’ve missed list it below, I need it.the Flavor Tea 🫖

If you’ve been around here for a while, you might remember my glamorous era of crawling up the clinic stairs with a herniated disc and a non functioning backside. Pre-lockdown times. Real character building stuff.

We had interns in clinic at the time, so I’d drag myself in, perch on a stool like some injured queen of pain management, and have students passing me needles while I treated and jhutzhed patients. Truly iconic.

Recovery took ages. Disc injuries are not a “three days and you’re fine” situation, and lately there’s been a noticeable influx of slipped disc cases in clinic. Same story, same questions, every single time.

At this point I can basically diagnose a disc issue from someone’s voice on the phone. It has a very specific tone…

So if you’ve tweaked your back recently, heard that terrifying pop, or you’re dealing with long-term disc management, these are my top tips. And as always is here to help you heal.

Disc injuries can feel terrifying when they first happen. The pain is intense and the body goes into full protection mode. But with the right management, most people do recover well.

Beyoncé said she works non-stop but has she tried not checking reels between two acupuncture patients?
The discipline. The sacrifice. The heroism. You’re welcome.

I know you’re waiting for a conclusion, me too - this just unfolds like a comedy! How much sillier can this get?!

To clarify, we have our original number reinstated, this is happening all on their OWN personal number and phone now 😂

What do you think they will charge for a deposit now?? I’m so curious what will unfold next 😅🤦‍♀️

Phone Thief Saga — Part 3
Welcome back, my emotionally invested community.

Current receipts:
✔️ A face on camera
✔️ A name (allegedly 👀)
✔️ A PayID
✔️ A phone number

What we don’t have:
❌ An address
❌ A police ending
❌ Conclusion 😅

So today’s question: channeling levels of petty with a sprinkle of court chaos — is strictly hypothetical, non-violent, and for community bonding purposes only:

What is the pettiest, most harmless retaliation you’d imagine with this info?
I’m talking annoying.
Mildly inconvenient.
Spiritually irritating.

Nothing illegal. No threatening. Just pure elite-tier petty that makes someone think, “Wow… karma has time today.”

Drop your ideas below ⬇️
Follow for Part 4, because at this point I need closure like it’s a season finale.

I’m as invested as you are.
Who knows where this is going to go??

Aesthetic Acupuncture Academy isn’t for the casual learner.
It’s not just theory on a slideshow or “memorise this and hope for the best.”

This work lives in your body.

It’s muscle memory. Repetition. Precision.

Running timers. Adjusting angles. Reworking lifts until your hands know exactly what to do before your brain even catches up.

I’m pedantic because your clients deserve practitioners who are exact. I’m perfectionistic because facial work is a craft.

I’m tough because confidence is built through doing -
over and over and over - until the technique becomes part of you.

This is why my academy students leave capable, competent, and crystal clear on how to create real results.

This is not another typical training.
This is aesthetic acupuncture done properly.
Brisbane 2026 - you’re next.

Comment BRISBANE below to be kept in the loop for next year’s seminar. As always, it WILL sell out.

You voted !! Overwhelmingly to see BTS culprit!! A little facial reading diagnosis sprinkled- but I really don’t want to do a free reading for someone stealing from my clinic 🤨
Did they answer the phone for you?? Trust me, we’re open and seeing clients - it’s the tail end of the Snake year - people need support still!! 🐍
What prank call would you say to this culprit??
