Heat-Related Illnesses
This occur when the body is unable to regulate its temperature properly, often due to excessive heat exposure.
There are three main types of heat-related illnesses
1.Heat cramps
2.Heat exhaustion
3. Heat stroke.
Symptoms
1. Heat Cramps: Muscle spasms, usually in the legs, arms, or abdomen.
2. Heat Exhaustion: Heavy sweating, pale skin, fast pulse, and normal or slightly elevated body temperature.
3.Heat Stroke: High body temperature (above 103°F), confusion, agitation, and dry skin
Treatment:
Rest, stretch, and hydrate with electrolyte-rich drinks,cool down with cool clothes and Seek immediate medical attention.
