A fresh, friendly and modern Medical Centre in Bentleigh East, Melbourne. Medical practice has undergone a transformation in the last decade.
Eastbound Clinic is a group general medical practice located in the south eastern suburbs of Melbourne, approximately 20 kilometres from the City. Once it was sufficient to practice from a few rooms in a converted house, without the use of computers, with minimally trained staff and with very basic facilities. Today, a medical practice must ensure it meets stringent quality control standards, have highly skilled medical staff, business managers, receptionists and nurses. It must also utilise the resources of the latest knowledge in information technology and provide facilities that meet the needs of both patients and practitioner. In July 2005, after 3 years of careful planning, one of the best equipped, modern medical practices was built. The excellent facilities were further enhanced by the completion in 2013 of additional training rooms, a larger meeting room, waiting room as well as a larger staff kitchen to accommodate our growing staff. Welcome to the New Eastbound Clinic and the future of successful General Practice. Our GPs range in age from the 70s to the mid-20s. They share a broad range of experience and interests including Sports Medicine, Mental Health, Management of Chronic Disease including Diabetes, Skin Health, Women’s and Men’s Health, Paediatric and Geriatric Medicine
Our GPs, nurses and staff all enjoy training medical students and nurses and the clinic has alliances with Monash and Melbourne Universities. We are also an accredited training practice for medical registrars with the Victorian Medical Alliance – General Practice Training Program. Eastbound Clinic provides a new standard of excellence in medical practice facilities and care. Excellence in patient comfort, excellence in staff facilities, excellence in treatment room facilities, excellence in computer infrastructure and communications systems, excellence in professional development of all employees, excellence in practice management, and excellence in believing in what we do is worthwhile, and effective and rewarding for all involved.

This month is Movember (let’s talk about it)
What is Movember?
Every November, men around the world grow moustaches to raise awareness for men’s mental health, su***de prevention, prostate and testicular cancer.
The truth about men’s mental health:
- 75% of su***des are men
- Men often suffer in silence because of stigma, pride or pressure to “man up”
- Too many think asking for help is a weakness, when it’s actually a strength.
If you’re struggling, start small:
- Messages a mate
- Book a GP appointment
- Write down what’s been heavy
- Text or call a helpline - contact Lifeline on 13 11 14 or Su***de Call Back Service on 1300 659 467.
Movember is a global movement that takes place every November, encouraging men to grow moustaches to spark conversations and shine a light on men’s health. The focus of Movember is on mental health and su***de prevention, as well as prostate and testicular cancer.

The lovely Bianca is finishing up at Eastbound after almost 5 years. We are very sad to see her go! See Bianca’s words below:
After almost five wonderful years at Eastbound, it’s time for me to say goodbye. It has been such a privilege to serve the community that my son has grown up in. I will deeply miss our lovely patients, but most of all, the incredible team I’ve had the honour of working with and leading alongside Practice Manager Mel.
Saying goodbye is bittersweet, but I’m excited and ready for the next chapter of my life. Thank you to everyone at Eastbound for the beautiful memories - I will cherish them for many years to come 🩷

Dear Patients,
We’d like to share an important reminder about your MyMedicare registration. This registration formalises your relationship with your chosen GP.
You are always welcome to visit any clinic for urgent healthcare needs, if you cannot get a timely appointment with your own regular GP at Eastbound. However, if you are registered with your GP working at Eastbound through MyMedicare and would like your regular doctor to continue managing your long-term care, please let any other clinics you may visit know that you do not wish to change your registration.
Keeping your registration with your regular GP allows your practitioner to continue supporting your chronic care management and helps reduce the cost of visits related to your chronic condition.
If you have any questions, our friendly reception team will be happy to assist.
