Have you noticed your lips feeling drier than usual—no matter how much lip balm you apply, they still feel cracked? Lipstick doesn’t sit the same and some fine lines seem more noticeable above the lip.
Thinning lips are a natural part of ageing process. which is usually accelerated in the late 30s and 40s, as the lip loses collagen, elastin, and fat redistributes. Other factors like UV exposure, genetics, smoking, and lifestyle choices can further contribute to lip thinning and fine lines.
A common concern in clinic are lines that appear above the lip. A recent client required two sessions of volume replacement here. We focused on adding more volume into the body of lip near the top border to give more structural support and also added volume directly into the lines above the lip. This was done over two sessions to maintain the most natural result —
as only minimal amounts of product can be put above the lip at a time to avoid this area looking bulky.
