Good morning parents,

I hope you are going well. The tip this week is powerful especially as I near my global conference attendance next week to rejuvenate and connect to my community global and local. I am in need of refreshing to be even more present after a big term. The quality of my presence is totally under my control!

Presence is an underrated gift.
When you are fully present with those you love most you experience life and connection in its purest form. It is one of the most beautiful gifts we can give.
So a reminder to take some time to be fully present with your children and partner as well as yourself today and this week. See what difference it makes to BE with them more regularly.

If you do not feel that you are as present to yourself as you would like to be and being triggered by your children and those around you, I am opening up my level 3 advanced program to a group of 5 parents to go deep and be more present for themselves and their families for Christmas.
RECLAIM YOUR MOJO! 8 session breathwork program Wednesdays 8pm from Oct 8th. Dive in deep within.

Good morning parents,

How are you going?

Here is my tip for the week.

We often busy thinking, striving, solving problems and wanting to change what we have or who we are. We can be living in the future, thinking of how we would like to be, what we want to change. We are doing the best we can at any point in time with what we have and this is most important right now.

How can you honour your partner and yourself as parents? How can you express appreciation, gratitude and acceptance for who you are as parents right now? We also can check what are expectations are at this time and see if they are realistic.
Even if you can acknowledge the simple everyday tasks you are doing this week as working, providing a learning environment for our kids and feeding everyone. You are covering the fundamentals. This is so very important when things are unpredictable or really busy in term 3.

You doing a great job!

If you have final year students they need additional emotional support as they approach the last couple of months of school. I have Tuning into Teens starting in October. Early bird finishes Aug 28th, limited spots remain.

Good morning parents,

How are you going? I've been watching the Tour de France cycling for men's and women's over the last month and witnessed their commitment to excellence: determination, grit, perservence, team work, sacrifice and downright courage. These athletes are next level when they get up and ride after crashes with broken bones.

There have been some extraordinary feats by the Australian riders: winning stages, breaking personal best records, dragging team mates up mountains, willing to sacrifice themselves for the bigger team goals. I have loved the emotional journey we get to witness. Tadej and Jonas are definitely next level athletes!

Given all the success by the Australian riders, still the most impactful moment for me, was Melbourne rider Sarah Gigante's raw emotional sharing after getting to second in GC in the penultimate stage. The yellow jersey holder Kim Le Court Pienaar, decided to sacrifice herself, of her own accord, (unheard of) for Sarah even though her job was to protect her own winning position. It is such a team sport, adaptable on the road and they really have each other's back.

Here is my tip for the week.

The longest relationship we have is with ourselves. What is your relationship with yourself like? Can you say you are happy with yours? It takes time and focus to quieten the inner critic and start to like yourself. What action do you need to take?

If you want to start the journey in a fun way, shake it off with me at Meet 2 Breathe next week Tuesday August 19th 8pm.

Good morning parents,

Hope you are going well. Here is my final love languages tip for the week.

So after all the information on love languages; have you worked out what your child’s love language is? How do they feel most loved?
If you are still not quite sure, one way to find out is to ask, how do you know I love you? Often their first response is their primary love language. Ie. A child responding, “because you do things for me” would suggest acts of service is their primary love language.

If your own bucket needs repairing or filling, learn
how in our Tune Up program for August starting Wednesday 8pm https://www.annehubbard.com.au/training-delivery/tune-up-with-anne/
You deserve to be supported too!

Good morning parents,

I hope you are going well. I am enjoying some great time with parents in our programs this term, beginning and advanced alike! Interested to expand your skills and have some awesome heart opening and connecting with EQ small group coaching for August? Join us for Tune Up

Tune Up Wednesdays 8pm https://www.annehubbard.com.au/training-delivery/tune-up-with-anne/

The final love language of “The 5 Love languages of children” is this week.
The fifth love language is acts of service. Children with this primary love language feel most loved when we do things for them i.e. help with homework, cook, go fishing. It is important to ensure that the act of service age appropriate such as making your child's bed at 10 might be more crippling than loving. We support our children at each step and as they are ready we teach them how to support themselves and then others!

Parenting is a service-oriented vocation, it is physically, mentally and emotionally demanding throughout the stages of our children. We serve and support our children best when we look after ourselves.

What can you do for your children that helps you to support them best?

Continuing on with Gary Chapman and Ross Campbell's “The 5 Love languages of children” from the last few weeks, today we review the fourth love language: gifts

Gifts
For children whose primary love language is gifts, they see the gift as an extension of you and your love. Once they have opened it, they will hug you or thank you profusely, what matters is you thought about them.

What is a gift?
- unconditional expression of love freely given by the donor
- extension of you and your love

It is not:
- not payment for services rendered

Does your child like to receive gifts? A child who doesn't feel truly loved will misinterpret a gift, thinking it is conditional.

What to do:
- Younger children: keep small collection of inexpensive gifts to give them individually as you sense there is a need
- Older children: gifts of experiences might be a good option to explore

Enjoy your parenting!
