Our highly experienced team works with children ranging from babies through to young adolescents with Autism Spectrum Disorders, Asperger’s Syndrome, Dyspraxia, Developmental Delay, speech, language, learning, social and communication difficulties. We

are a family centred practice. We aim to work closely with you to empower you with the knowledge and skills to understand and help your child. Our experience and passion, combined with our understanding of the journey ahead makes the difference for you and your child. At Spectrum Speech Pathology we recognise that one approach does not suit all children or families. As children develop and learn their needs change. At Spectrum we tailor our therapy to suit your child’s individual needs. As a result, our highly experienced team continually stays abreast of the latest therapy advances, research and best practices. We participate in national and international training events and conferences. This ensures that, together with you, we will select the most effective therapy for your child. We are excited to be actively implementing group and individual programs based on the work of Michelle Garcia Winner's Social Thinking framework - 'teaching the thinking behind being social.'

Our open and interactive team approach ensures that your child is the central focus. Our depth of knowledge and expertise together with our commitment to working closely with your child’s team (home, medical specialists, school, early intervention and child-care centres) will make the difference in opening the world of communication for your child. We are exceptionally well resourced – with the latest assessment materials and therapy resources including computer-based therapies. Our dedicated resource coordinator creates personalised, practical, innovative and up-to-date resources for all clients. We are supported by an experienced Client Services team which manages client bookings, enquiries, funding options and payment, making your journey as smooth as possible. Last week Andrea & Anna, 2 of our wonderful senior speech pathologists, attended the Research Symposium on the Early Language in Victoria Study (ELVS) at The University of Melbourne.

The Early Language in Victoria Study (ELVS) has been following the speech and language development 💬 of more than 1800 children who were born in 2002 in Melbourne, Victoria, since they were 8 months of age. Such an important study 📚

This term Georgia is working with one of her young clients to develop their Executive Functioning skills, supporting them to learn how to complete everyday tasks, as well as things like school projects!

Georgia reports ‘We are using their love of Minecraft to create a fun 😀 board game and putting our Minecraft Cubeez collection to good use! This has been great for time management, planning and collaboration!’💫
