Support with Mindful Mentors can take many different forms, because children need support in many different ways!!
Co-regulation might look like staying close through big feelings: helping a child calm their body before expecting words, choices, or behaviour change. This supports children who become overwhelmed, anxious, or dysregulated easily.
Mindful movement can look like gentle yoga, stretching, or moving together outdoors to help release stress and build body awareness. This is especially supportive for children who struggle to sit still, feel restless, or carry a lot of tension in their bodies.
Therapeutic play might be games, shared activities, or creative play where emotions, frustration, and flexibility can be explored safely. This helps children who find talking hard, shut down, or express themselves through behaviour instead of words.
Social and emotional skill-building happens in real moments like practising turn-taking, coping with losing, expressing needs, or repairing after conflict. This supports children who struggle with friendships, emotional regulation, or confidence.
Nervous system regulation is woven through everything, using predictability, rhythm, and calm presence to help children feel safe enough to engage and learn. This is especially important for children with trauma, anxiety, or sensory sensitivities.
Everyday living support may include help with routines, transitions, food-related challenges, or trying new things in a gentle, pressure-free way & supporting independence over time.
Support in natural environments means meeting children where they feel most at ease like at home, parks, playgrounds, walks, or community spaces allowing skills to develop in real life, not just in a room.
Each session is guided by therapeutic goals, but shaped by connection. When children feel safe, seen, and supported, this is where progress happens naturally 💖
I have capacity for new clients in 2026 and would love to connect with families who feel this approach might be the right fit.
