๐Ÿ’œ Today is World Pancreatic Cancer Day, a time to raise awareness by knowing the symptoms and risk factors.

Abdominal and back pain, unexplained weight loss, jaundice, nausea and physical weakness are some of the signs. Smokers and genetics are often linked to the cause. Whilst pancreatic cancer can be difficult to detect early, advanced medical imaging plays a vital role.

At Future Medical Imaging Group, our Ultrasound, CT and MRI technology helps investigate and assess pancreatic cancer, supporting patients and their care teams with timely, accurate information.

We join the global movement to โ€œturn the world purpleโ€ and shine a light on this important cause. Letโ€™s raise awareness, encourage regular health check-ups, and support those affected by sharing this information. ๐Ÿ’œ

Lung cancer is one of the most diagnosed cancers in Australia, but can be prevented with early diagnosis of nodules on the lung.

FMIG, together with Chest Scan Australia are supporting the government's National Lung Cancer Screening Program (NLCSP), by providing free CT scans to eligible patients.

๐Ÿ’— Itโ€™s Cervical Cancer Awareness Week, a reminder of the importance of regular screening and early detection.

This year, the theme is "The Power of Choice" meaning you can choose how to protect yourself from Cervical Cancer. If detected, radiology plays an important role in evaluating the extent or spread, using CT, MRI and PET-CT scanning.

At FMIG, we actively support womenโ€™s health with state-of-the-art imaging equipment, together with our expert team of doctors and technologists.

Together, letโ€™s raise awareness and encourage regular health check-ups to protect yourself and those you love. Learn more here (https://accf.org.au/cervical-cancer-awareness-week/)

Movember is here! ๐Ÿฅธ๐Ÿ“ข

This month, weโ€™re growing awareness (and a few moustaches) in support of menโ€™s health. Our staff are getting involved to shine a light on the importance of medical imaging for some key areas of menโ€™s health, such as:

- identifying prostate & testicular cancer
- reducing the risk of a cardiac event
- lung cancer screening
- assess brain health and function
- detecting tumors within the body
- and many more....

Letโ€™s grow and show our support - every Mo counts!

As Breast Cancer Awareness Month comes to an end, we want to say thank you. ๐Ÿ’—๐ŸŽ—๏ธ

Throughout October, FMIG made a commitment to donate $5 for every mammogram performed. Together with the support of our patients, we raised over $2200 to help fund breast cancer research and improve outcomes for those affected.

Breast cancer remains one of the most commonly diagnosed cancers among Australians. Early detection saves lives, and weโ€™re proud to play a small part in that journey every day.

To everyone who chose FMIG for their mammogram this month, thank you for helping us make a difference.

๐Ÿซ November marks Lung Cancer Awareness Month, a time to raise awareness, encourage prevention and promote early detection.

Lung cancer remains one of the leading causes of cancer-related deaths in Australia, but early detection can make a life-changing difference.

Radiology plays a vital role in identifying lung disease early, supporting better outcomes and giving patients the best chance for effective treatment.

Through our partnership with Chest Scan Australia, FMIG continues to provide advanced CT imaging and expert care to help detect lung disease earlier.

๐Ÿ’› Donโ€™t wait, prioritise your health today and speak to your GP about your lung health.
