A landmark longitudinal study has found that regular exercise in middle age may be the most effective preventative for cognitive decline later in life.
A group of researchers at the University of Melbourne tracked 387 women for two decades and the results are remarkable.

Everyone who has read Still Alice by Lisa Genova would no doubt share the helplessness Alzheimer's disease sufferers and their families feel. The question on my mind after reading the book was: "Is there any way that such cognitive decline could be prevented or delayed?"
