Masks are still essential at our practice.

Although masks are no longer mandatory indoors, we kindly ask all people visiting our clinic to please wear a face mask.

We understand that they can be uncomfortable to wear- however, as we work in a healthcare setting, it is of the utmost importance to keep our patients and staff healthy and safe.

We appreciate your help and understanding.

Just lately, we're seeing well-publicised cases of people we feel we know, even when we don't, dying unexpectedly.

We've been surprised, shocked, and saddened by the untimely death of public figures losing their lives to a heart attack.

For most of us, we won't make the papers, but we all have loved ones we'll leave behind if it happens to us.

Their legacy should be a reminder we're not invincible.

Many of us think we're fit and healthy, but it's what's under the hood that counts, the things we can't see.

Every ten minutes in Australia, a person suffers a heart attack; that's about 57,000 people every year.

We can all do something about it by making a start and asking about heart health with your GP.

Please book your heart health check with your IMG doctor or our registered nurse.

While progress has been made for those living with epilepsy, Purple Day is March 26th, a reminder to encourage people to talk about epilepsy, and for those living with seizures, it reminds them they are not alone.

If you, a family member, or someone you know has undiagnosed and unexplained seizures, see your GP immediately.

Skin problems can affect the self-esteem of even the most confident person.

Psoriasis, rosacea, eczema, acne, dermatitis, and many other skin conditions can look inflamed and sore.

If you have a skin condition that's bothering you, itches, or is new, seek an appointment with Dr Sangeeta Nagpal or Dr Sharon Gabizon.

Their experience in diagnosing and treating skin conditions will help you understand the issue with your skin and avail treatment options.

For many patients, it's not widely known the role many of our internal organs play in our body's overall health.

For example, take your kidneys; how many of you know they control your blood pressure, clean your blood and produce urine, and play a vital role in managing vitamin D production?

So take good care of your kidneys; if you're a smoker, try quitting to improve your kidney function.

Try a balanced diet, avoid being static too long and get some exercise.

Reduce your intake of alcohol as it increases blood pressure and stay hydrated; drinking plenty of water is something your kidneys will be thankful for.

You have to think beyond their name when you think about your organs.

And see your GP if there is any doubt about your health.
