April Falls Day falls on 1st April.

This month, We are continuing to raise awareness about falls prevention for older people by providing education and sharing best practice falls prevention strategies.

💫Falls have significant physical and emotional impact older people

💫Falls and fall related injuries are a major health issue and can increase health care costs

💫Falls in older people are preventable.

Our care advisor, an experienced aged care nurse, is an expert in fall prevention and management for older adults.

💥We are offering FREE 45 minutes falls assessment and fall prevention education sessions this month to older adults living at home and Retirement Villages within Melbourne Metro.

💥National Advance Care Planning Week (March 17-23)💥

Making your choices matter.

Advance Care Planning is a conversation we have with our clients from the first day they choose us to be their service provider as we like to know their care, lifestyle & treatment preferences so we can respect them.

An advance care directive is a legal document that informs your loved ones and health care providers what matters to you most and helps us care providers to respect your preferences should you loose the decision making capacity.

What does it do?
● provides specific directives about treatment preferences a person consents to or refuses.
● Appoints a medical treatment decision maker who will make decisions on your behalf when you can no longer have decision making capacity.
● Appoints a support person who will assist you to make medical treatment decisions for you.

💥💥💥A client referred to us by his aged care provider's Care Manager for nursing care. Client has a chronic wound that stopped him from doing the things that he loves doing most-swimming, shopping and travel. Tried few service providers but was not satisfied. We came on board and started Working closely with the client and his approved provider's Care Manager and client is happywith progress. Our main goal is to provide him with the best nursing care to heal his wound so he can get to use his Home Care Package funds for other things such as social activities and community participation supports which bring him more joy.💥💥💥

💥January is Glaucoma awareness month. Glaucoma is a disease that affects the optical nerve with fluid building up in the eye causing an increase in pressure.

💥It can be detected early and there is treatment to prevent further eye damage.

💥One of the things we do is we focus on holistic care approach and part of our nursing assessments includes checking for risk factors such as familial history, diagnosis of diabetes, advanced age etc. We encourage our clients to have annual eye exams with their GP or Optometrist and when needed if they start to have symptoms I.e. eye pain, blurred vision
