SYDNEY, June is ours.
Every year Pride Month lands in June for a reason... and if you live on or near Oxford Street, that reason hits different.
In 1969, LGBTQ+ people in New York pushed back at Stonewall and changed history. In 1978, a small group marched down the streets of Sydney - our streets - and 53 of them were arrested for it. Their courage built what became the world-famous Sydney Gay and Le***an Mardi Gras.
This month is a reminder of what we built together. And why coming together still matters.
Speaking of which... Dance Therapy turns TWO this Pride Month 🎂 We’re celebrating Upstairs at , Oxford Street, Darlinghurst - the place where q***r community gathers, nervous systems settle, and strangers leave connected to community.
Dance Therapy is a group movement session. No experience needed. Just you, the music, and 90 minutes of exactly what your body’s been asking for.
