I’ve been running classes at Bundoora Secondary College facilitating the designing and hopefully soon, painting, of a large shipping container for the school by students. It’s so much fun and I am LOVING the ideas and energy the kids are bringing!! Can’t wait to share the approved design (fingers crossed) and then the painting with you all! Working with these young people is amazing. So freaking grateful! ❤️

Today I facilitated my first Root Cause Therapy treatment and supported someone to shift 2 limiting beliefs. It was amazing! What an experience and what an honour!
It is truly fascinating what can be uncovered in these sessions and how limiting beliefs can be shifted with the right support.

Started my practical component for the Root Cause Therapy certificate I am working through at the moment. Very exciting!
I may need 1 or 2 lovely humans who are interested in having 3 sessions exploring and healing limiting beliefs and their root causes soon. Please let me know if you’d be interested. You’ll need to complete a feedback form for my trainer to review.
Cheers!

So grateful for this lovely testimonial from one of my Youth Mentor client's Mum.

"Rosie has been an absolute blessing. From the moment we connected, she’s been approachable, supportive, incredibly knowledgeable, and so easy to talk to.

I know I can call her at any time, and her willingness to offer guidance and support has been truly invaluable to me.

Her connection with Finn has been especially impressive. He can be a tough nut to crack, yet Rosie has built a bond with him that grows stronger every fortnight. He now sits with her willingly, and she just gets him in a way that very few people do.

Rosie’s sense of humour and positive energy always lift the mood, and her genuine care and commitment shine through in everything she does. We’re incredibly grateful to have her involved in Finn’s journey."

What do you wish your kids knew more about?

Math?
English?
Emotional regulation?
Values?
Zones on control?
How to be a good friend?
How to identify good friends?

Only so many things can be learnt at school.

And as parents we don’t always know how to teach.

Many of us were not even taught the bottom 5 so how can we teach it?

That’s where mentoring can come in.

We can work 1:1 with your child to explore their unique personalities, their values, zones of control, ways they respond to their environment and much more.

This gives our children a sense of self that will empower them as they grow into adulthood.

If you want to chat - please PM me. I’d love to learn more about what you need. ❤️

Everything in your life has elements you can control, elements you can influence and elements that you need to let go of.
I was talking to a beautiful woman today about her anger during specific times during her cycle because of the changing hormone levels and she agreed that while she can’t control the natural hormones, she can control how she uses the emotions that may arise from them. We can turn anger from a negative drama into a positive drama. There are pieces of what feels out of control, that we can control. Which makes it easier to release what we can’t.

When you think your jokes are totally not appreciated by your young mentee and then you find they’ve said you’re funny! Yay!!

Sometimes kids pull away. It does NOT mean they don’t love you! What’s happening in their heads can be really overwhelming and sometimes they just feel it’s easier to pull away from people to avoid ‘hurting them’ or ‘disappointing them’.
That’s where having a chat with a youth mentor can help them work through what’s going on in their head and to give them strategies to work through these worries. ❤️❤️❤️❤️

Did you know? Even young people can start up a business. Sometimes this can be what gives them direction and a sense of self.
Yes, they'll need help for sure. Running a business is NOT for the faint hearted!

Here's the guidelines for obtaining a TFN if you're under 18.

You need a tax file number (TFN) to do business.

You can apply for a TFN at any age. If you are:

🥸12 years or younger, your parent or guardian must sign your TFN application
🥸13 to 15 years old, either you or your parent or guardian can sign your application
🥸16 years or older, you must sign the application yourself.
