Dad ❤️
I’ve been a little quiet here for the last couple of months as our beautiful family navigated the eventual loss of our Dad, Husband, Brother, Uncle and Friend.
Dad got diagnosed with brain cancer in Feb this year and it changed everything. I could write a million stories, share hundreds of photos and it still wouldn’t give you the completed picture to the presence of Dad.
Dad was so excited that I completed my marriage celebrant course. Funnily enough he had also considered doing it a couple of years ago, but decided joining the SES would be more fun 🫣
He was always there cheering me on. From childhood, to my first celebrant gig doing a close family friends funeral, and then one of my latest weddings where he insisted on carrying and setting up my speakers, even though he was the sick one.
One day I might share with you his eulogy that I wrote….it was really one of the hardest stories I’ve ever had to put into words.
But for now - Dad, have a good sleep. Miss you loads. And love you always xx
