My Delhi Almari

My Delhi Almari Beautiful, individually selected hand made scarves, shawls, sarees, sarongs, beaded jewelery and handicrafts from the heart of India.

My Delhi Almari is a small social enterprise between three close friends who met while working in Delhi with young people who have disabilities. Love of India's beautiful handicrafts coupled with local in-depth knowledge of Delhi's many labyrinth markets led the friends into forming a business partnership and creating My Delhi Almari (Almari - 'Cupboard' in Hindi). The business sells individually selected, hand made fabrics and crafts sourced in India at local markets in Melbourne, on line and at fetes and fairs in Delhi. The aim of My Delhi Almari is to provide employment for one of the partners who lives with a disability in Delhi. All income raised by the enterprise provides a source of income; enables him to develop and use his vocational skills and contributes towards his independence and future security.
