Do I believe in detoxes?

Yes* with an asterisk!

Your body detoxes every single day.
But modern life? Not always supportive of that.

So sometimes we support it.
Sometimes we don’t.

It’s not a trend.
It’s not a one-size-fits-all reset.
It’s personalised, intentional and depends on you.

How do I know if I’m in perimenopause?

This is one of the most common questions I get and the answer often surprises people.

Feeling “off” but not sure if it’s perimenopause? Here’s what you need to know…

There is no single test that can diagnose perimenopause.

During this stage, hormones like oestrogen, progesterone and testosterone fluctuate constantly. They can shift from one day to the next, which makes it very difficult for a single blood test to accurately capture what’s happening.

Instead, perimenopause is usually identified through symptoms and changes in your cycle rather than one specific test result.

The most important goal during this time is to really dial in the foundations of health:
• Sleep
• Stress management
• Nourishing food
• Movement
• Hydration
• Supporting healthy body composition

When these foundations are strong, many symptoms become much easier to manage and the body becomes more resilient to hormonal shifts.

From there, herbal medicine and targeted nutritional support can be incredibly helpful for addressing individual symptoms and supporting hormone balance.

Perimenopause isn’t something you just “push through” with the right support, it can be a much smoother transition.

If you’re wondering whether you might be in perimenopause, you’re not alone it’s a conversation more women need to be having.

International Women’s Day 2026 was such a privilege to be part of 🤍

But what matters most to me is this… helping women step out of the confusion and into clarity.

You don’t need to follow every trend or piece of advice online.
You need to understand your body.

Because true empowerment comes from education… and from being seen as the individual you are ✨

Can fasting mess up my hormones?

Fasting has a lot of benefits like improved insulin sensitivity, better metabolic health and cellular repair.

But for women, it’s not always that simple.

Much of the fasting research has been done in men and women’s hormones respond differently. If fasting is done in the wrong phase of your cycle or for too long, it can increase cortisol (your stress hormone).

When cortisol stays elevated, it can disrupt hormones like oestrogen and progesterone, potentially affecting your cycle, energy and overall hormonal balance.

Fasting can be a great tool, but for women it needs to be done strategically and in alignment with your body.

Why do I talk about weightlifting so much?

Because it’s the key to longevity.

And not just living longer but living longer in your healthiest state.

Right now, we’re living longer as a population… but we’re also spending more of those later years dealing with low energy, chronic pain, weak bones, poor mobility, hormone imbalance and loss of independence.

Weightlifting and resistance training change that trajectory.

They improve:
* Muscle mass (which naturally declines with age)
* Bone density
* Injury prevention
* Hormone health
* Energy levels
* Sleep quality
* Physical fitness
* Strength

This isn’t about aesthetics.
It’s about metabolic health.
It’s about staying capable.

It’s not about what the person next to you can lift.
It’s about what challenges you.

It’s about progressively overloading your muscles, gradually increasing resistance in a way that forces you to adapt, grow and get stronger over time.

Longevity isn’t about just adding years to your life.
It’s about adding strength, energy and capability to those years.

That’s why I talk about it so much.
