🌟 Gratitude Update 🌟

Every time I share something on here, I find myself genuinely amazed—not just by the progress Te Cepi is making, but by the support of the incredible people around me.

✨ First – Te Cepi has officially passed our Stage 1 Certification Audit!

It’s been a couple of months of hard, honest work—and hearing the auditor’s encouraging feedback made it all worthwhile. Now we begin preparations for Stage 2. Onwards and upwards!

✨ Second – I had the privilege of attending an in-depth Support Coordination workshop with Dr. Vicky of NDIPreneur. Big shout out to RN Karen of I-Connect Healthcare Services for all your support and for tagging me along!

As I mentioned in my email to Dr. Vicky and the group, thank you is not enough. I hope to honour the values and quality of service modelled to us by embodying them in my work. I left the session feeling more confident, motivated, and hopeful. It was a true blessing—both in content and company.

✨ Third – I received deeply touching feedback from the wife of one of our participants. With edits for privacy:

“Maria was thrown into our situation where my husband was sent home prematurely without core support, care plan or modifications. She gave us her expertise, emotional support in the hardest of times. She’s been proactive, transparent, and kind… She brings a scientific nursing background but has a holistic approach to care. She’s taken a load off my shoulders liaising with specialists, coordinating care, and making things happen.”

There are hard days, no doubt—but reminders like these keep me going. I thank God for the blessings—big and small—and for every person who’s walked with me on this journey. 💛

Our first team building session — done and dusted!

This is me with the ever-beautiful Meg while waiting for Udip to arrive.

It was a much-needed time for us to pause, reflect, connect, and grow — together. We’re only just getting started, and the energy was so refreshing and inspiring.

P.S. I couldn’t be more proud of our team. Our client's feedback so far are -
"Udip has a heart of gold" and “Meg is sensational! She even has a calming effect on X.” 🫶

These heart-felt words remind me why we do what we do.

After months of quietly building, learning, and holding the vision close to my heart—I’m beyond excited to officially welcome a new Te Cepi participant and work with the best support worker ever! 💛

This isn’t just about a signup.
This is about showing up where it matters most.

In my work across the community sector, I’ve witnessed the harsh realities: neglect, poor coordination, discrimination, and people being pushed aside. My eyes are wide open—and so is my heart.
