Have you heard the story behind how My Occ Health Record got its name?

Back in 2019, we spotted a clear need: Organisations needed a better way to manage their health data. That realisation inspired the team to start developing the software.

The idea was to create a health passport - individual health records that empower employees and organisations to view, manage, and take charge of their health. Our goal was to help everyday Australians stay healthy, safe, and injury-free.

As the platform took shape, we needed a name. My Occ Health Record was tabled - it was simple, descriptive, and everyone loved it. The name was registered, and we continued building the platform.

A few weeks later, someone pointed out an unexpected detail: the abbreviation for My Occ Health Record is MOHR, which just so happens to be the last name of our founder and CEO, Dean Mohr.

Much to Dean’s dismay (and our amusement), it seemed like the platform was named in his honour.

While it was just a funny coincidence, it’s a story that still gives the team a good chuckle - and a perfect excuse to tease Dean whenever we can!
